"영원"

"Yeongwon"

They walked through the sidewalk as Beomgyu kept wondering how she got here, also wondering why she was wearing a white dress during a gloomy, cold weather. Maybe that was the reason why her hands were cold. He noticed her hair was longer. He knew she likes to keep her hair short, which made him more confused.

There's something odd. He thought.

Maybe it's because I haven't seen her for a while.

Gyeoul however, was thinking of why he was like this, which she didn't expect him to be when she left him.

"Why are you taking me here?" He asked the girl who was holding his wrist, dragging him inside a café nearby. "I don't have an appetite to eat."

"Well, I'm forcing you to eat." "I heard you haven't eaten anything for weeks." She added as they got inside and went in line. "Now, what do you want?"

"Nothing."

"Come on~ You need to eat something." The girl whined. "Look how skinny you've gotten." She said as she slightly rolled up his sleeves and raised his arm, showing him. "You weren't this skinny when I left."

"Since when did you come back?"

"Ask me later." "Tell me what do you want to eat."

"I don't want to."

"Then we're not leaving here." She said as she turned her back at him, still holding his wrist.

"Ugh, fine."

Only because you'll keep on forcing me if I won't.

He ended up getting a sandwich and an iced americano as she got a cupcake and a glass of water. They went and sat down beside the window.

"So, since when were you here?" He asked, breaking the silence between them.

"I just arrived." "I arrived earlier this noon." She added as she took a bite from her cupcake.

"How's Jeonju?" He asked, taking a bite from his sandwich. "It's a nice place." "I get homesick a lot though." She added. "How're the others?"

"They're fine, Yeoreum misses you so much like the usual." He said. The sound of one of her close friends' names made her chuckle. "Aigoo, Yeoreum-ie can't live without me."

She said, making him chuckle. "She talks about how she misses you so much every single day."

"Did Yeongwon and Toto get along?" She asked. Hearing the black, odd-eyed cat's name made him smile. "Yup, they did." "Toto's still figuring out why her eyes are blue and yellow."

"How were you when I wasn't around?" She asked as both of their smiles slowly disappeared.

"I'm fine." He answered, looking down, avoiding eye contact with her.

Liar.

They finished eating, stood up and got out. He placed his school uniform's blazer around her shoulders as they walked home. She went with him to see her cat, which she had left with him. It was already nighttime. The surroundings were quiet, all they could hear were the crickets aside from their giggles. They kept talking about the funny and stupid things they've done.

"We're here." He said as they got inside his apartment. "Yeongwon!"

She said as the black cat ran towards her as she crouched down and hugged it. A small smile crept on his face as he heard her cooing the cat. "I missed you."

She said as she nuzzled her face on the meowing cat's tummy. She put the cat down as she sneezed.

"You should cut that out." "You keep on sneezing after doing that." He added as he messed her hair.

"I can't help it." "She's too cute." She added as he got the green parrot out of its cage and gave it a piece of bread.

"Hey." She said as he hummed in response.

"Do you mind if I stay with you for a while?"
