Each day felt the same for the boy. It felt long, endless, as he repeated the same, endless cycle he's been doing for almost a year. His roommate and friend, Ruri, was pained to see him acting this way. She would barely see the boy go outside his room, often ignores her, and would never eat the meals she'd cook. He would only go outside his room when it was time to feed Gyeoul's black cat, Yeongwon—which he would often keep inside his room for company. Though every time he'd look at the odd-eyed cat, he would feel guilty that it never saw its owner since the day she had left it with him. The last time she saw the boy head outside their apartment was when he visited Gyeoul's grave on her birthday; December 1st.
