Upon arrival to the Soul Society, Rukia was jailed and I was sent off to the Kuchiki Manor. I was not sure as to why I had been either. I awoke and one of the Kuchiki family servants had been attending to me via bedside along with the family physician. "I'll go inform the young Lord that she has awoken.."
I closed my eyes once more, then soon, I felt a warm hand brush against the side of my face. "Hisana.."
I opened my eyes again. Byakuya has his eyes on me, they seemed rather soft and kind. Quite different to what I had seen earlier.
"B-Byakuya.."
"You.. finally remember?"
I nodded. "Once my powers awakened again, all of my memories came flooding back to me from before. But.. I can't remember now what happened to me in the World of the Living.. all I remember is meeting Ichigo, Rukia, and seeing you again."
The physician and one servant who was in the room was now gone.
"Byakuya.." he was leaning forward towards me. My heart was racing. I wanted to kiss him so badly, but at the same time.. I needed to talk to him.
"Wait..."
"What is it?"
"W-What about Rukia?"
His gaze turned cold at the mention of her name. "She had tarnished the family name and soiled against my pride. She has to serve her sentence..."
"B-But.. Byakuya, she is your sister..!",
"I don't care. Justice must be served to her.."
"I can't believe you....." His eyes went wide as I said that.
"What?"
"She is your sister, and you're casting her aside for something like that? She only meant to give Ichigo half of her powers so that she could return here safely and he save his family. His spiritual energy was so high that he took all of her power unintentionally!!"
He continued to stare at me in a state of shock. He didn't know what to say to me. Instead, he turned away and left the room, slamming the door shut behind him.
I signed, unsure of what to do next. Rukia was in a holding cell, her fate seemingly unknown to us. However, her 'crime' was going to sentence her to her untimely death within a certain set of days. I stood up, putting on my shikasho with my family's colors on it. The ends of the sleeves and the collar were a crimson red color, to represent the Kusonarii Clan. I turned around, looking at the door in sadness. "Byakuya.. I'm so sorry..."
I left the room and was walking through the corridors of the Kuchiki mansion. One of Byakuya's maids had seen me up and about. "Lady Kusonarii! Where are you going?"
"I'm leaving."
"My lady! You can't!! You need more rest!"
I stopped in my tracks, looking back at her. "I am fine. I know myself well enough to know that my condition is fine. There are things I need to do. People I need to see. Byakuya-san has grown a little cold with somethings..."
"Do you mean on accords with Lady Rukia?"
"Yes. She's his sister. He should be fighting for her. Yet, that isn't the case at all. He is too prideful to do anything on her behalf."
Byakuya was heading in my direction. He could tell I was leaving now.
"I need to go, good-bye... and thank you."
I flash-stepped away, and found myself outside of Squad 4 and 5 areas.
"I haven't seen this area since I was younger... hmm.."
"Lady Kusonarii...?" I turned around. It was Captain Souske Aizen and his Lieutenant, Momo Hinamori walking together in my direction. Why did he seem familiar to me?
"A-Aizen-sama..." I blushed slightly and covered my cheeks to hide it. He was a captain that I had a lot of respect for because of his kind demeanor and status among other soul reapers. He was really kind and compassionate and loved to help his subordinates.
"What are you doing here? I heard from Gin you had been found in the World of the Living and were at the Kuchiki manor. Why are you over here?"
"Byakuya-san... he doesn't seem to care much about Rukia and her execution decision. I don't know what to do... or how I can possibly save her." I looked down. "I see." Aizen shifted his glasses. "Well, are you busy tonight?"
"H-huh? W-why do you ask that?"
"I was going to go out for a moonlight walk, and may stop at a restaurant for some food. I was wondering if you'd like to go along."
"Was this.. a date invite?! Even though I'm technically still engaged to Byakuya-San?"
I thought to myself, blushing more that it was now noticeable.
"S-Sure.. d-do you remember where my home is?"
"I believe I'll find my way." He smiled at me warmly. "I'll be over later."
"Bye, Madame Kusonarii." Momo smiled, bowing as she and Aizen continued walking. There must have been a meeting for various captains and their lieutenants today.
I came back to my home. The Kusonarii manor looked as if it was still in pristine condition. Yet, the blood splatters and everything, was gone. The decorations were back up, the pictures of my parents, my little sister, and me... they were all still there. My noblewoman's kimono, decorated with various flowers was neatly folded and hung on the wall. I heard footsteps behind me. Turning around, my eyes went wide. "M-My lady!!"
It was our family's sole servant, Kumiki.
"K-Kumiki!!! You.. are still here..."
"I never left, my lady. I knew you would come back someday!"
We embraced. "Here, let me help you into your kimono. I heard a rumor that someone was going to be over to pick you up soon. "
"Yes, Captain Aizen is coming over."
"But aren't you engaged to Byakuya-sama?"
"In all honesty, he doesn't seem to be interested in me anymore. I'm waiting for him to call off the engagement, I suppose."
"But.. don't you love him, m'lady?"
I blushed. "I always loved Byakuya... but, the feelings on his end seemed to have rather faded. He's obsessed with his own pride. Plus, I think Aizen-Sama seems to like me. That, and I think something may be there for him on my end too.. even if I love Byakuya. I think I'm falling for Aizen too."
"I see."
Kumiko went off to clean some other parts of the home, and a knock sounded outside of my door.  Sliding it open, Aizen stood, smiling.
"Shall we, Lady Kusonarii?"
