Chapter 10: Star and a Stray Dog (Ichigo Vs Renji- Part 2)

As the battle was pressing on between Ichigo and Renji, it was considerably noticeable that Ichigo himself had been gaining on Renji through measures of strength.
"If Rukia had never met you, she wouldn't have to be suffering right now! She wouldn't have to be sad and standing all alone in that cell!" Ichigo and Renji continued to battle, then when Renji least expected it, Ichigo landed an attack in Renjis shoulder.
"Ahh!" Renji bellowed.

"I should have went after her when she left. If perhaps I would have acted, she wouldn't have been condemned to this death! Rukia..."

In the Rukongai.. District 87: Hanging Dog
A group of 4 kids managed to run off from a street vendor. They stole some food off of him just to survive.
"You damn pesky brats!" The vendor was then tripped by one of the boys in the group.
They made it back to their refuge, filled with a bunch of middle aged teens.
A teen was picking on a young little boy. He stole his piece of food. "Hey! Give that back!" He was jumping up at the piece of food that held centered in the bully's hands. "Not in your dreams, kid!"
Before anyone could say or do anything, a girl with short black hair looked up at them. "Hey you! Let the kid go!"
"Oh yeah? What are you going to do?"
She instantly kicked the bully and managed to have him on the ground. "Why are you acting like all the other people around us?! What is this going to get you?"
The bully looked away in embarrassment. The short haired girl stood and helped the kid up. A young Renji stared at the girl in shock.
"Here, take mine. Remember that we are all the same. We should be helping each other, not hurting each other."
The kid beamed with joy, and then gladly accepted the candy from the girl. "What's your name?"
She beamed over at a young Renji. "My name is Rukia."
As time progressed, the two of them, along with two other friends were inseparable. They'd strive by everyday, becoming stronger and surviving in the streets of Hanging Dog.
Meanwhile, they discovered that they had spirit energy and could become soul reapers if they chooses to do so. Thus, Renji and Rukia enrolled into the Soul Reaper academy.  After some time being enrolled, Renji went to talk to Rukia about a good test score he received. "Rukia!"
He ran into a nearby room he saw her in, opening the door. At the end of the room was a man with jet black hair and nobleman's wear. There were two other men standing there at the end as well, they were soul reapers.
"Rukia..."
"Please take some time to consider our offer.."
The three people turned and left, leaving Renji in a stupor. "What was that all about..?"
"They offered to adopt me into the Kuchiki clan. If that happens.. I'll immediately go into the 13 Court Guard Squads, automatically graduating from the Soul Reaper academy.."

"Ichigo.. please. Save Rukia.."
Renji stood against a fallen piece of seki-seki large enough to be a slightly bigger equivalent of his own body. It was stained with the color of crimson.
Ichigo glanced down at him. "I will. I will save her. That's why I came here."
The four of us left Renji behind, but to head back underground for the time being so we could heal Ichigo back up.
Before we could manage to sit him down, he collapsed. "Ichigo!"

Hanataro set Ichigo down on a cot he quickly prepared, and began to heal him while Ganju stood watch. I arose from my seat, and started to head up.
"Hisana, where are you going?"
"I think I'm going to scout ahead."
"You can't do that! It's dangerous!!"
"You have to remember.."  I pulled my zanpoktou from its sheath. "I am a soul reaper you know?"
"I forgot you're a noblewoman.."
i headed out, seeing who all would be out on the battlefield to come.
When before I could return back from my scouting trip, a familiar voice sounded. "Hello, Hisana."
My eyes widened and I turned around.
"A-Aizen...? What are you doing out this late?"
"I could be asking you the same thing." He shifted his glasses.
"Care to come along with me for a moment?"
