Departing from my home, Aizen and I went to the Sereitei to get food and drinks from a popular restaurant with the Soul Reapers. It was called Strawberry House. Entering, we were greeted by the hostess. "Ah! Welcome Captain Aizen! Lady Kusonarii!! Booth or Table?"
"A booth, please." Aizen calmly said as the hostess motioned for us to follow her.
Sitting down, she asked us what we had wanted for drinks. "Jasmine tea, and oolong tea, please." She had affirmed to us that our server would be here soon with that, then we could order our food. After she had left, Aizen turned to face me. He had a very calm smile on his face, and his demeanor appeared warm. "How does it feel to finally be back in your proper home?"
"It feels nice, but lonely.."
"Why lonely?"
"Byakuya-Sama hasn't been paying any attention to me. He's been really cold about things of recently, especially with everything and Rukia's pending execution date."
"I heard they're moving it up.."
"What?"
"Yes, there's been a decision from Central 46. She will die in 46 days from now instead of 76."
"That's... nearly a month and about 2 weeks almost..."
"Yes, my thoughts exactly." He paused for a moment. "Why would they be moving it up so quickly?"
"I'm not sure.. I wish I could do something..." I looked down at the table, but then to only see Aizen grab my hands softly. "Don't worry, maybe something good will happen in her favor." He gave me a soft smile.
Soon after, the waitress came to our table and we ordered our food. I ordered a bowl of udon ramen with a fried egg and crispy onions. Aizen had ordered a bowl of Tonkotsu ramen with a fried egg, pork, and scallions. We also got a bottle of siracha just in case.
While we were waiting for our food, conversation had picked up again. "What do you want to do, Hisana?"
"What to you mean?"
"Don't you have any plans now that you're back in the Soul Society?"
"Well.. I'm the only one of my clan. I'm not sure on what to do.."
"Surely.. you'll need an heir, right?"
A blush spread across my cheeks. "M-Maybe in the future. Not right now.
"What about a husband?"
"Well, it was destined when I was 15 that I was to be married off to Byakuya."
"I see, but things are rocky between you two, so.."
The questions he was asking was starting to make me feel slightly uneasy. Perhaps my feelings on Aizen were off.
I began to get this weird sensation. It felt as if I had known Aizen from somewhere before. An image popped up in my head. The Kusonarii clan's home... my home.. covered in blood. Aizen stood there with his zanpoktou out, my mother, her kimono open, her body... soiled. She used the last of her powers to save me. It then hit me all at once. Aizen killed my family. Aizen was the one who masqueraded as my father.. he did it all. My eyes went wide. Every instinct in my body was telling me to run. I needed to go tell someone. Would anyone believe me?
I stood up in my seat. "A-Aizen, thank you for tonight... but I must get going now...I don't feel well.." My hands were trembling in fear.
"Hisana, let me at least walk you home.." he politely urged. "N-No I'll be fine..."
I took a few steps and started to bolt. "Hisana!"
I heard behind me. The anxiety was overwhelming me so badly that eventually, I collapsed not too long outside of the restaurant.
——Flashback...————"Hisana, dinners ready! Also Byakuya was waiting for you for practice when you're done!"
I come into the house and my mom, dad, and little sister, Shiemi, are all at the table. Various foods like rice, sashimi, were scattered all over the table. Even though we were one of the great noble clans, we didn't want people cooking our meals. We cooked ourselves instead.
I sat down, my little sister beaming a smile at me. "Big sister, how has your kido practice been going?"
"Very well. I probably will be placed into a squad here soon."
"Has Byakuya been helping you with anything?"
"Yes, he's been mainly helping me with my sword fighting skills, and some bakudo skills, but that's about it." I took a few more bites of my food and then after finishing, I washed off my dishes, said good bye to my parents, and walked towards the Kuchiki manor. To my surprise, Byakuya was outside.
"Ah, Hisana. I didn't think you'd be over this soon." He smiled softly, blushing. "Hi Byakuya-Kun."
He blushes more at the nickname.
"Why's your face so red?"
"N-No reason..come on, Grandfather wanted to say hello to you."
Byakuya and I were about 16 and 17 in age appearance. We were set to be married to one another to unite the families since the Kusonarii clan had produced no male heir. Instead, it was going to be reunited as the Kusonarii-Kuchiki clan.
Walking back around in the direction of the courtyard where the practice fields are, we ran into Byakuya's grandfather.
"Ah, good to see you, Hisana."
"Lord Kuchiki." I did a curtsy. "It's good to see you."
"Please, spare the formalities, you're like family to us. Please, call me Ginrei."
"Alright." I smiled. "How are you doing?"
"Pretty good. Byakuya says you're doing really well with your sword fighting skills and bakudo skills. You've really improved. Maybe I'll have you placed in my squad, soon."
"I'll be looking forward to that!"
Byakuya and I went to the battle grounds located in the back courtyard. "Go ahead and draw your zanpoktou, Hisana."
He did the same, and we began to clash swords. "You really have gotten much better, haven't you?" He grinned. "I'm proud of you.."
"I also, unlocked some new power."
"Did you?"
My spiritual pressure began to increase and this shocked him. "I see, did you unlock your shikai?"
"Yes I did." His eyes widened.
"Spread your wings and fly! Akuma No Tsubasa!!" A beam of light surrounded me, and my zanpoktou changed into a dual scythe. It was a pitch black color with a white and red accents. Byakuya stood there, grinning. "Ah, looks like we aren't the only one that unlocked their shikai."
"No.."
"Scatter, Senbonzakura." Byakuya's zanpoktou blade disappeared, turning into thousands of cherry blossom- looking blades. They scattered around him. He then pointed his fingers in my direction, the blades came all at me. "Hisana! You need to move!"
I moved out of the way, but the blades came curving back in my direction.
"Shit!" Before I could even think about flash stepping away, I got hit. Some of my blood went flying a little and splattered on the ground. "You alright, Hisana?"
I stood up, wiping some of the blood that was on my face off. "Yeah, I'm golden."
"You really have gotten stronger." He smiled. Withdrawling our zanpoktou, he came over to myside and smiled. "Let me heal your wound. Where is it?"
"My shoulder."
"Alright, let's help you into my room."
We went into his room, and Byakuya shut the door. "Go ahead and loosen your shikasho so you can pull your one sleeve down."
"Okay." Byakuya healed the deep gash in my shoulder, and then moved my sleeve up to my shikasho. He gently place a hand on my cheek, looking into my eyes.
"B-Byakuya.." I blushed. "Is something wrong?"
"No. But.. there's something ive wanted to tell you for so long."
"W-What's that?" I had a slight hunch to figure out what he was going to tell me, and I was thinking that it was going to be a confession. Maybe our feelings would be reciprocated. Turns out, I was right.
"Hisana, I've really had strong feelings for you for a very long time now. The more and more I got to know you, and see how strong of a woman you are, I realized that I really want you by my side. You are something that I have so much pride about it. You are the light of my life."
"T-that's something I've always wanted to hear, Byakuya.."
Glints of tears swelled in my eyes, and Byakuya leaned forward to kiss me. Our lips conjoined in a passionate kiss, and Byakuya brought me really close to him. He could tell that our feelings were in sync with one another.
"Hisana.."
"Byakuya.."
"I love you." We both said in union. Before we'd continue to kiss more, Ginrei came
In and said there was an issue at my home.
"Let's go, Byakuya. Right."
We went over, and went into my home. There was an absolute mess of blood everywhere. I searched around for my father, and sister. I found them sprawled outside of one of the rooms, dead. My father tried to protect my little sister. I heard more noises of what sounded like moans but then I heard a loud moan, followed by a scream. "P-Please don't!! I then heard a loud scream.
"Mom!!"
I ran to her room, and her kimono was open, she was sprawled out and bloodied. I looked up at her, then to see someone standing by the sliding doors that lead outside. He had a white captains coat along with short brown hair and a framed glasses. I couldn't make out his facial features. He looked at Byakuya and I, grinned, then disappeared. My mother, coughed and then spoke my name. "Hisana.. I'm going to do something to save your life.. just so the killer doesn't come back to hurt you..."
The rest, or course, was History. I became a human for a time, went to school, met Ichigo, and got to see what life was like.
I woke up to be back in my home, Aizen was crouched by my side.
"Thank god you're okay!!"
