Delua's power was poor. At the very least, there was no good commander. No matter how rural it was, the power was so weak that it was ridiculous. Fortunately, there was a well-organized army at the gate, but even that was easily penetrated. He wondered if it was a trap."Where the hell is the rest of the army? Where are Delua and Anssen?"
Karloi muttered to himself as he ran to the place where the Duke of Delua was located, hitting the front first.
"The main power is somewhere else. I never thought they would come this way."
Now the night has passed and the dawn is slowly approaching. It was also the time that Clyde Anssen should arrive in Markia.
"We'll see the end of Delua soon."
Karloi's words sounded somehow nervous. Asher knew he was obsessed with the idea of the Empress. That must be why she was the one. The one Karloi was eager to see.
Asher recalled his past when he wandered around the estates of Delua and Bernie under Karloi's orders to search for someone. Who would have thought that the one he was looking for was already in front of Karloi? It was a complete waste of time.
As he got closer to the Duke's house, Karloi's face grew paler and paler. An unknown anxiety made his blood cold. As they approached the gate to the Duke's residence, that anxiety became a reality. The noise people were making was annoying.
"Something seems to be up."
Asher said with a frown. The soldiers threatened to bring people back inside, and the soldiers were fighting among themselves. Karloi knew it was typical of where the commander had fallen. His heart beat nervously.
When a considerable number of the Emperor's troops came in, people, including soldiers and civilians, screamed and ran away.
It was too easy to subdue a place where order was broken inside. Because there were few people willing to fight.
Like a collapsing tower, Delua collapsed.
"What the hell is going on?"
He grabbed one of Delua's soldiers and asked a question, and he trembled in reply.
"I do not know. Now, rumors are spreading that the Duke of Delua is dead... It is out of control."
Karloi and Asher looked at each other at the same time.
"Are you sure?"
"I don't know. One of Delua's maids said it, but it hasn't been confirmed..."
Karloi pulled the reins of the horse and ran frantically towards the duchy. The soldiers were busy running away when they saw some cruelly fall down by Karloi's sword. Asher followed suit and cleared up the rough path.
As they reached the duchy, it was no comparison to the entrance to the estate. The Duke's men, who were trying to run away with their luggage, ran around screaming at the soldiers.
While Karloi's soldiers skillfully controlled the entrance and captured everyone, Karloi ran nonstop to the Delua Tower. It was a hunch, the Duke of Delua or Lou, would be there. The place where Delua used all his magic to protect.
No matter how fast he ran to the tower, Asher fell behind.
"Your Majesty!"
Asher shouted from behind to him not to go alone, but Karloi ran like crazy. The ominous feeling was on the verge of eating him up.
No matter how high he climbed the tower, he couldn't see anything, but the gloom grew worse. And when he finally reached the top floor, Karloi could see the cause of the gloom. An old man, who appeared to be a butler, hanged himself at the entrance of the floor.
