A/N Hey guys! Before we start the first chapter, I just wanted to say that I own none of the PJO/HOO characters, they are the invention of the outstanding Rick Riordan! I hope you guys like my story!!!! -Bee

Percy was ecstatic. Ever since their time in Tartarus, he and Annabeth had gotten closer than ever, and even more after the war with Gaea. Tonight though, he was finally going to get a chance to have a normal date like normal teenagers with his beloved Wise Girl.He planned on bringing her to New Rome, where he hoped they'd spend the rest of their lives togeher in the future, on a picnic date. He packed some cheese, bread, grapes, a delicious blue pie his mom, Sally, baked for him, a Shepherd's pie for Annabeth, and even sneaked in a special bottle of champagne he had been saving into a basket.

Percy really wasn't one for dressing up, and neither was Annabeth, so he just wore his typical Camp Half-Blood uniform. His CHB T-shirt, some jeans, his necklace with the clay beads on it, and his black Converse. Percy reached down to grab the small black box with the Promise Ring he planned on giving Annabeth after their date off of his nightstand, and slipped it into his pocket.

In the cool afternoon, Percy slipped out the door of Cabin 3 and walked towards the Athena lodging, picking a small bouquet of daisies along the way. He knocked on the door and Annabeth's brother, Marcus, answered with a confused look on his face.

"Is Annabeth here?" Percy asked.

"She went out to train awhile ago." Marcus replied.

All of a sudden, Percy felt a warm sensation on his back.

"I'm here, Seaweed Brain," a delicate voice whispered in his ear, sending cold shivers up his spine.

Percy whipped around to see Annabeth, smiling sweetly and gazing into his eyes with those beautiful gray irises of hers. He smiled back at her, and embraced his girlfriend in a big bear hug.

"Come with me, I wanna show you something," Percy told her.

The couple walked to the stables, where Blackjack the Pegasus stood, nibbling on a chunk of carrot.

"How's the leg holding up, buddy?" Percy asked him.

"All good, boss! I'm ready to fly like the wind OUT of this prison! You don't happen to have any donuts on you by any chance, do you?" Blackjack snorted and shook his long black mane.

Percy chuckled. "No, not at the moment buddy, but maybe when we get to our destination, if you'd be willing to take me and Annabeth there." He leaned down and whispered their date location into Blackjack's ear.

"Sure thing, boss!"

"Where, exactly, are we going?" Annabeth asked Percy, hands on her hips and a sassy expresion on her face. He loved it when she did that.

Percy put a finger to his lips and winked mischievously. Annabeth rolled her eyes as they climbed onto the back of the Pegasus. Blackjack trotted out through the open stable, spread his dark feathery wings, and soared up to the sky.
