you ran as fast as your legs could carry you.
" shit shit shit! "
you glanced down at your phone screen.
7:27am
the school gate closes at 7:30 and you were only a good hundred metres away from it. the only thing standing between you and that damned gate was traffic... and that damned traffic light simply refuses to turn green.
" ahhhh... " you groaned your displeasure.
7:28am
shit!
you had no choice but to dash across the road. it wasn't a big one and there weren't many cars presen either. you prayed none of the teachers saw you as you dashed to the school gate. getting into trouble with the school today would be the last thing you wished for.
you made it just in time before the security guard began locking up the main entrance. anyone behind you would've been considered late.
today was just not your day. it began with a series of unfortunate events, starting with the fact that you woke up fifteen minutes late, and with a throbbing headache. when you went ahead to check your phone, you realised that it was completely dead. you didn't know if you should bring the dead electronic gadget to school but you, who was in a mad rush, decided to anyway.
mom had to leave the house early for business meetings, hence there was no one to make you breakfast. while on the way to school, you realised that your socks were mismatched but you didn't have time to return home to get it changed. then came the slow traffic light inconvenience as you were about to be late for school.
by the time you reached class, you were panting heavily. you could feel the sweat forming from under your undergarments and the back of your neck. you let out a sigh of relief, feeling like the only good thing that happened was that you weren't late today.
math was the first period. your head started hurting so much that you couldn't concentrate on anything the teacher was saying. differentiation started sounding like integration and integration started sounding like... you can't even process that word. you lay your head on the table as you stared at the view from outside. you were thankful that the teacher assigned you a window seat.
as you mindlessly stared straight into the sun, you reminded yourself of haru. contrary to what he thought, you remembered exactly what happened last night. you still didn't know how to react, or if you should even address the situation to begin with. and now that you're actually dating takahashi, you were contemplating if you should tell him.
" y/n! " your teacher suddenly called, causing you to shoot up from your seat, " very brave of you to fall asleep during my lesson. come up and solve this problem. " your teacher said as she handed you a piece of chalk.
