The day of the practice match had come and you were all nerves jittering with adrenaline and nervousness, a majority of them belong to Tobio- 'Hey!'- But you took a breath before walking with the rest of your teammates, not before hitting the back of Hinata- Boke- head since he vomited during the trip to the school. He really made the blueberry boy's levels of irritation rise.

You followed Tanaka-senpai and Tsukishima where they turned a corner and bumped into two of Sejioh's students, one was Kindaichi with the familiar spiky hair, and the other one has soft caramel hair and a somewhat soft- or delicate?- face. While Tanaka-senpai started his threats and Tsukkishima with his severe remarks, you chose to ignore them as your eyes met Kindaichi. What did you expect to see in his eyes?

Contempt? Maybe.

Hatred? Definitely.

Anger? Absolutely.

But none of them were in his eyes, only something murky and foreign, something that you weren't familiar with. " It's been a while, hasn't it King."

While that remark should've brought a pang of pain to Tobio, you only felt soft indifference that fell like snowflakes. "It has." You- Tobio- replied. Kindiachi's face turned from something unknown to something cautious and mildly surprised. Good. You gave him a smile with no warmth for the extra measure before joining the others, earning a slap at the back by Sugawara-senpai and Tanaka-senpai that made you topple over. Almost.

Right now, they had a match to win.

When you first entered the gym, the first thing he noticed was how much larger it is than the gym at their own school, the second thing is the stares you had been getting from two former teammates- specifically Kunimi and Iwaizumi. Their stares lingered at your neck as you were preparing, Hinata seems to notice too.

"Bakayama! Why are those two staring at you!?"

You leisurely glanced at the former senpai and teammate, which they promptly averted their eyes anywhere but you, making Tobio tilt his head in puzzlement. You gave a nonchalant shrug. "Mmm."

You didn't mind their stares even when Kindaichi entered with his caramel-haired friend, which sort of increased the staring. It kinda gave you- and Tobio- unnerved itch of some sort. When you were at the front, you were face to face with Iwaizumi-san, the senpai who's been caring for you. Specifically Tobio.

While Tobio might have thought that he was the senpai who's been kind to him, you thought differently. When you looked through Tobio's memories of Iwaizumi, you instantly thought he could've done more for him. Sure he stopped Oikawa's teasings when they got too far, sure he stopped his best friend/soulmate from slapping him, but he could've made them work out their issues with each other.

Specifically, Oikawa's jealousy.

And if you were to pick between Sugawara-senpai and Oikawa-san, it would be Sugawara without hesitation. Cause when it comes to the position; setter, Sugawara is more understanding when it some to the gap. He may have felt jealous of Tobio's genius skill and the possibility that he might end up as backup, but he knew it wasn't the kids' fault. He learned to push aside his envy and support the team as much as he can. While Oikawa let his jealousy and envy get the best of him and nearly hit his underclassmen.

You could understand that the brunette setter might have complex or insecurities, everyone's got them, but if his insecurities became monsters, then he should ask for help. Instead of looking for acceptance or admiration, or maybe someone who accepts all his flaws, he got Iwaizumi, he got Kunimi and Kindaichi. But Tobio was the one who has been admiring the setter with stars in his eyes, even after his poor treatment of him.
