after he had finished reading all the letters, he turned to his mother who was staring at the wall with saddened eyes. "well why did you stop writing?" ollie curiously asked his mother. "simply because, there was no reason to write" amity flashed a weak smile at the young one. "what do you mean? you promised to write mama letters!" ollie exclaimed, his voice shaking from the slight cry he let out. "i promised to write, to the one i love" she said whilst putting all the letters in the box, daring not to make eye contact with her son.

it took a while for ollie to understand what his mother just uttered. it made his heart sink, shes joking right? he thought to himself, still trying to process her words. "you don't love mama?" he said with teary eyes and a shaking voice. amity just continued with what she was doing, trying to seem unphased about the younger one's reaction. "mommy, its okay im not mad. just.. disappointed" he said, walking away.

that day, all believe ollie had in this thing called "love" was crushed. after 11 years his mother suddenly calls quits? thats not love, is it? well if thats what love is, ollie sure as hell knows he does not want it. how could his mother do something like that? maybe love is not what it seems to be. or maybe what amity and luz had was not love at all.

"its not that i dont love luz, its because there is no longer a luz to love."
