It was about a week since Caitlin was here and the thing that did not happen, happened. I did tell Emily and Hannah. Leo knows only because he overheard my conversation with them about it. So you best believe he's been pestering me about it since he found out. Also it didn't take that much for almost everyone to figure out I was avoiding Chase.

Right now I was exiting the hydro-loop. I'm supposed to be at a field trip right now, but Leo paid me ten bucks to tell fake him to shut up and fourty bucks to come back. Easy fifty bucks. I walked over towards Leo and Douglas who were talking about something.

"You're a student. Why didn't you go?" Douglas asked Leo and the boy grinned, proudly. He noticed me and waved before starting to explain. "Oh, Big D thinks I'm there. When he takes attendance, I paid a kid 5 bucks to yell 'Here!' and Mia 10 bucks to yell 'Shut it, Leo'. And 40 bucks so she would come back. Just incase I'm lonely." I smiled and put my arm around his shoulders. "I would've done it for free, but you know. Easy money." Douglas laughed while Leo glared at me with regret in his eyes. "What? I could've asked for more." I took my arm off him as I saw Bree walk into the room.

"Hey, B." Bree looked up from her book and smiled at me. "Hey, M. Wanna hang out by the pool later?" She handed me a book and I nodded with a slight smile. "Sounds relaxing. I need that." Leo then walked over like an excited child. "Oh, hey Bree. I ditched the field trip, so I could hang out with you guys. What should we do on our day off?" He questioned, making Bree look at him with a weird look. "Our day off? No, this is my day off and I already got it all planned out. I'm going to sit by the pool and read a book. I'd ask you to join me, but I live and work with my family, so I'm sick of all of you with the exception of Mia."

I looked at him with wide eyes and a wide smile as if to brag to him about how his own sister doesn't even wanna hang out with him. Just then my smile faded a bit when I saw Chase. I hoped no one noticed, but I'm pretty sure Bree did. "Hey Chase, wanna hang out?" Leo asked his brother and Chase shook his head.

"Sorry Leo, gotta make the most of my day off. I already organized the weapons vault, alkalized the island's water system and taught a cute little group of dolphins to wave hello!" Then Chase did a weird movement to show how the dolphin's waved. Not going to lie it was kinda cute. KINDA.

"Next up, some light reading. Oooh." Chase then proceeded to take Bree's book and speed read it. "She ended up marrying the vampire? I did not see that coming!" Chase said, giving his sister the book back only to have her gasp in offence. Just then Adam walked in holding a weird looking rock. "Oh, hey, Adam." Adam looked at Leo for a second before sighing. "No." Then turned to Bree, Chase, and me.

"I didn't even ask you anything yet." Leo said, sadly. Adam turned around and smiled, softly. "Oh, I'm sorry. Go ahead." Leo smiled at Adam and gave me a bragging look before speaking. "Thank you. Would you like to han--" Leo got cut off by Adam who smiled then turned around. "No. Guys, check out this rock I found on shore. I had to dig it out from under a wooden box of old yellow coins and jewelry."

I mentally face palmed before taking a close look at the rock. "Adam, this isn't a rock. It's a fossil. Let me see that." Chase tried to take the rock, but Adam protested. "NO!" The two tussled for the rock, but in the end Chase won. "Well that was unexpected." I commented which made Chase glare at me before setting the rock on the console and scanning it.

He suddenly gasped in a mix of excitement and amazement. "This is a prehistoric sea spider! It went extinct millions of years ago." Adam groaned in a mix of boredom and frustration. "Way to go, Chase. You made my rock boring." Adam walked away and Leo smiled, probably going to say something dumb.
