It was about a week after Chase and I got together. Honestly one of the best decisions I've ever made. He's so sweet and understanding. Of course he can sometimes be an absolute pain because he was to be right about everything and everything has to go his way and yeah he's Chase what can I do?

Today I was in the common area with Adam, Bree, Chase, and Leo when Mr. Davenport walked in. "Heads up, we got a visitor coming." Adam eyes went wide as he stepped closer to his dad. "Is it a government agent, coming to take us away?" Chase and I walked over to him as we gave him a look of confusion. "Our secrets been out for a year. Why would they take us away now?" I put my hand on Chase's shoulder as he spoke.

"Let's just say, I've done some things." Adam said, glaring at us as he walked away. "I don't wanna know." Chase and Mr. Davenport nodded in agreement. "It's my chief scientist, Dr. Ryan. He is by far the smartest man I have ever worked with." Chase looks at me and I shrug before he looks back at Mr. Davenport, clearing his throat. "Ahem." Mr. Davenport looked back at him and nodded in realization. "Oh, you are right. I'm sorry. I am the smartest man I have ever worked with."

Chase looked at me again with an offended look and I just patted his cheek. Which probably didn't help, but eh. "Dr. Ryan was head of his class at MIT. And he's been Davenport Industries' employee of the month twice! That's never happened. Well, except, of course for me." All of us looked at Mr. Davenport weirdly.

"You named yourself employee of the month at your own company?" Mr. Davenport nodded at Leo's question. "I think you love you a little too much." Leo stated, making all of us, but Davenport nod in agreement. "It's not because I love myself. It's because I'm better than everyone else." I leaned over to Leo and whispered. "Because that's definitely not loving yourself a bit too much."

Leo nodded in agreement just as the hydro-loop doors opened to reveal Dr. Ryan I think-- he looks like those boys that live in their parents basement because they're too comfortable there. "Hey, hey! Wassup, dudes?" He then turned to Bree and me with a small wave. "Lady dudes." I crossed my arms and pursed my lips. "This is your esteemed chief scientist?" I asked and Mr. Davenport nodded.

"And employee of the month. Got the parking space and everything. I don't drive, but my mom uses it when she picks me up. That's right, twenty-eight, still living rent-free in my parent's basement. Jealous?" He turned to Bree who just smiled. "No." She walked over to one of the consoles to pull two chairs out and motioned for me to sit which I did after I thanked her. We watched as the boys walked over to the monitor.

"Dr. Ryan is here to construct and test Davenport Industries new space elevator." Chase's face hardened, yet his eyes went wide. "Space elevator?!?!" Adam walked over with a sigh. "You see, this why people are out of shape. You should be building space stairs." All of us look at him weirdly before Dr. Ryan just started explaining.

"It's a highly advanced transport that climbs a tether all the way to our space stations. Since it's held up by gravity. we can resupply without ever using a rocket." Chase huffed in anger, making Dr. Ryan look at him with wonder. "Chase, you look confused an/or constipated. Do you have a question?" Chase looked towards his dad with an angry look.

"Yes! Why is he working on this? The space elevator was my project. I've been working on it for years." Mr. Davenport nodded in understanding. "Yes, but I had to pass it off so you could focus on being a mentor. Don't worry, Dr. Ryan's been working off your research." Chase was fuming. "You gave him MY RESEARCH?!"

Mr. Davenport nodded while Dr. Ryan looked towards Chase and put his hand on his shoulder. "Yes, and it's been very helpful. It's always good to know what's wrong so you can find out what's right." Chase flicked Dr. Ryan's hand off his shoulder and walked over to Mr. Davenport with anger and confusion written all over his face. "Oh, no. Mr. Davenport, you can't let him do this!"
