Quinn's POV 6 weeks later

"Are you sure you want to do this, Quinn?" Peter asked with concern and worry on his face and in his voice as he blocks the elevator doors with his whole body. Trying his hardest to keep her from leaving. He knew that this decision was an impluse and he feared she'd regret it later. He really wished Steve was nearby because then he might be able to talk some sense into her.

"I'm beyond sure." Folding her arms under her breasts Quinn frowned at him. She knew she wasn't going to change her mind. She was determined to make a change that she had control over and besides Quinn was doing this for herself.

Holding up his hands in front of him Peter tried to reason with her. "If you do this there's no coming back from it. Once it's done, it's done and I won't be able to help you fix it." Her shoulders slumped a little as she appealed to him to look at this from her perspective.

"I need a change, Pete. If it's not this, then what?" Her voice wavered as she dropped her arms down at her sides. She didn't want to feel like she didn't have control over her life anymore. No one understood what she's going through other than Bucky, but she was tired of forcing him to listen to her whine and complain anymore. Seemingly understanding in part Peter stepped out of her way sighing with resignation and nods his head.

"Okay, but I'm coming with you. I won't have you go alone not with that creep still out there." Quinn smiled at him happy that he was seeing this from her perspective. Peter used his webs to snatch his bag up from the floor where he dropped it when he tried to stop her and presses the call button. Grabbing her own bag she takes Peter's hand in hers and head down to the garage for her car.

Once she was released from the hospital she'd had him and Bucky practically glued to her side. Especially since Wade and Maggie went home Quinn had needed her friends more than ever right now. The others were nice and had helped tell her things when she asked, but Buck and Peter were the two she was closest to. No one tried forcing her to remember anything because that wouldn't help. She put that stress all on herself. She desperately wanted to remember and had had a rough time since coming home.

Quinn still couldn't remember much. Other than that one memory with Steve at the hospital she hadn't had anything else come to her. She had used her seer's ablity as much as she could to see the past with Steve and everyone else. It worked, but it had been like watching a movie that she stared in but didn't remember acting it out. All it had done was give her the information to go along with the pictures in her photo albums, but that was it. There still weren't any emotional connections to the visions for her to trigger anything.

It was beyond frustrating and then there was Steve. Every day that she didn't remember he got more and more sad. She couldn't stand to see him hurting so much whenever he looked at her. As it was once she came home she had put more distance between them. It only made sense because while she now believed they were in a relationship at the time of her injury she wasn't comfortable at this time sharing a bed with someone she didn't remember being intimate with. So Steve had moved back into his old room at here the Compound. Since the team was unsure where Richelieu was or if he knew she was alive she had been moved back for her safety. They didn't want her alone and wanted her around as many of them and SHIELD agents as possible for her safety.

One problem was that her room hadn't been complete from the soundproofing Tony was installing and that presented another set of problems. The only person she was comfortable bunking with had been Bucky she would have stayed with Peter, but he didn't live there. After Quinn and Buck made it clear to Steve that she wasn't going to be sleeping with him he'd reluctantly agreed to the arrangement once Quinn made it clear that just needed a bed and that was all. To make it a little easier Buck had slept on the couch in the common spaces living room so there was even more distance between his body and hers. It had only been for a week anyway and then she moved back into her room as soon as it was finished.
