While we were waiting for John B to get the oxygen tanks from his bosses boat, Pope and Kie were distracted with talking to each other so that just left JJ and I to talk and given his recent actions, I did not want to do that.
Unfortunately JJ had other plans since he sat down right next to me, "I'm sorry." That's all he had to say?
"Seriously? With everything that you've done lately 'sorry' is all you have to say?"
"What more do you want Molly?"
"I don't know? You not to pull a gun on someone?! You not to tell me to shut up?"
"Yeah about the shut up part, I'm really sorry about that. I was annoyed that John B wouldn't agree to my plan and I guess your sarcasm didn't help." I slightly rolled my eyes at him. "About the gun part, no promises."
I chuckled at him. When you've known someone for as long as I've known JJ, it's hard to stay mad at them for so long. No matter how hard you try.
"I assume from the chuckle that we're cool again?"
"I guess we are. Just A, never tell me to shut up again, at least not seriously. And B, don't pull out a gun on someone... ever."
"Yes ma'am."
John B had successfully stolen oxygen tanks from his bosses boat. I like to think to myself at least four times a day, how did I end up here? Once he came back we took the HMS Pogue out to the marsh where the sunken Grady-White was.
"This is empty. You took empty tanks?" Kie asked. Why am I not surprised that he took empty tanks. "Okay this ones a quarter full. It's enough for one of us."
"Love it when a plan comes together." Pope said sarcastically.
"Does anybody know how to dive?" Kie asked. Everyone except me shook their heads, I knew how to.
"I do." I spoke up, "Lucy and I used to go scuba diving all time when we would take the boat out."
"Finally, Molly's extreme wealth comes in handy." John B commented.
"No. There's no way you're going." JJ protested. Who was he to tell me what I can and can not do?
"And why is that?" I asked him.
"Because... something could happen to you."
I rolled my eyes at him, "I'll be fine JJ."
"I know Molly can dive but I read about it so Molly, if you don't wanna to go I can go." Pope said to us all.
"Yes there we go. Pope, you dive. Molly, you stay." JJ said.
"No. Pope you stay, I'm diving. I couldn't care less what JJ says right now." In response JJ sighed and put his arms in the air, surrendering to my stubbornness.
"You know I trust Molly to dive more than Pope. Molly's actually done it whereas Pope has just read about it." Kie chimed in.
"Exactly! Thank you Kie!" I said.
"Alright fine. Dive and then die, I don't care."
"God you're so dramatic JJ, you know that right?" I asked him while Kie dove into the water, taking her shirt with her. Confusion appeared on all of our faces.
"What was that all about?" Pope asked.
"I don't know but I liked it. A lot." John B replied.
"Well if you're gonna dive then when you're down there, you look for the cargo hold. You stick this thing inside and twist and pull, okay?" JJ asked me while holding something to open the cargo hold.
