Chapter 1

Heyo it's me, Author. Soooo I've had this in my drafts for a while and I have decided to put it out there but yeahhhh. Anyways I hope you enjoy!

"Alright class. We have two new students joining us. You can introduce yourself now." The teacher slightly looked up from his computer, uninterested.

"I'm Langa." A blue haired boy said in the front.

"Is that all?" the teacher asked.

"I'm from Canada?"

"Is that it?"

"Is that.. bad?"

"Well I'm not gonna grade you on it.." The teacher replied with a tired sigh "Just sit down next to the red-head. You introduce yourself next." A smaller kind of scary looking teen with braces, their blazer around her waist, and their tie tied wrong looked up through their curtain of bangs and said with a glare,

"My name is Lexie Toussaint, call me Lexie, and my pronouns are she/they. I come from France. Don't talk to me." She went and sat down in a random seat in the back, ignoring the teacher who was clearly telling them to sit in a seat closer to him in the front of the classroom. He eventually gave up and started teaching. Lexie stuck a lollipop in their mouth and started doodling to help her focus a bit better on the lesson.

"Lexie, can you tell me the answer to this question?" The teacher asked. Without looking up she said with a yawn,

"Kit felt as if she needed to help her uncle but decided after she screwed everything up that she was a nuisance and wanted to go back to her home. That was the cause of her feeling upset. The effect of her being sad is that she met the witch of blackbird pond, or hannah tupper, and realized that people hated her for a stupid reason. That is what helped her mental health in that place grow better and grow good relationships with prudence, hannah, and nat." Everyone stared at her. "What? It's one of my favorite books. I'm not stupid." They glared and everyone quickly looked back at the front. The bell finally rang and she quickly packed up and ran to the skate shop. It was a calming place to be and they liked looking at the skateboards, but was too broke to buy one. The bell rang and the red-head from their class walked in but froze for a second when he saw them.

"Uh.. Hi? You want a skateboard?"

"Yeah. Don't have money though." They replied.

"Oh uh. Ok.." He awkwardly walked off to put his stuff in the back and met up with Manager Oka. "Hey Oka. What do you want me to do? Deliver something? Work in the back?" He was kinda desperate to not be around the scary new kid..

"Actually we need to restock on stickers, could you do that?" He said, not picking up the hints.

"Uhm, are you sure you don't want me to do anything back here?"

"Reki, what is up with you? Is there something out there?" Oka got a bit suspicious.

"Well uh.. We have a new transfer student and she is kinda scary and she is also in here..." he explained.

"So you're scared of the new student? I guess you can stay back here for a few minutes but if they aren't gone in five minutes then you have to come out. Deal?" Oka said.

"Fine deal." Reki groaned. Oka chuckled a bit and went outside to get a look at the person his employee was so afraid of. Once he saw it was a short kid with dark purple short hair covering their eyes and the school uniform still on. He wondered what made them so scary.

"What are you looking at?" Lexie growled. Her piercing glare made Oka jump and he sweat-dropped.

"Oh! Uh nothing.. You interested in buying anything?" He now knew what made Reki freaked out.

"Mmh. Not a lot. These wheels are cool." They said and pointed toward some black and blue light up wheels.

"Yeah they are. Not a lot of people seem to be buying them so I was thinking of putting them on sale. You interested?" He asked.

"Don't have any money or a job. I'm not really looking for one but I like window shopping." They replied and grabbed a lollipop from their pocket, unwrapped it, and popped it in their mouth. "I guess I'll come back later if I get a sugar daddy and want anything." and with that she pet the fox, somehow not being bit, and walked out the door. Oka was caught a bit off guard but shook it off. Reki poked his head out the door.

"Is she gone?" Oka nodded.

"You can come out, they just left. I figured out what made them freak you out.. She's intimidating." He said and started reading a magazine.

"Yeah. It's even scarier when you realize how aware she is of their surroundings when you think she doesn't look like she is paying attention. It happened in class today. They gave an answer that I couldn't give on the subject we were in the middle of when they arrived! It was kinda creepy but they said they really liked the book that we were studying so I don't really know what to think." Reki explained as he restocked the shelves.

"Interesting.." Oka murmured.

Lexie exited the store and made a beeline towards their cousin's house and saw the other new student exit his company building. They ignored them for now and walked in until the new boy piped up. "He doesn't hire minors by the way." Lexie paused for a second and turned around.

"I know. He's just my nosy cousin WHO SHOULD STOP EAVESDROPPING!" They shouted the last part to one of the windows on one of the higher floors, where he came from.

"JUST COME UP LEXIE! I WASN'T EAVESDROPPING I WAS JUST SEEING WHEN YOU WERE GONNA COME HERE! Almost as idiotic as the gorilla..." a pink haired man yelled back.

"I HEARD THAT!" They shouted and bid the bluenette goodbye with a small wave before disappearing into the building. He heard the window shut and walked a few steps before stopping again after seeing a skateboard glide past him.
