Taehyung POV
Nalani cooked and we ate together and it was so damn good knowing she wanted to be with me again. I thought I messed it up with her forever and she was only gonna have me around for the baby's sake.
But now what I have to do is break up with Melanie. And I know it's not gonna be as easy as just saying I wanna break up. She is going to make this so damn hard.
Me and Nalani ate and I washed the dishes just so she would have one less thing to do. And she was not playing with me, no matter how many times I tried to go in for a kiss. And dodged all of them. I know she really isn't that type of girl. She hates those types of girls. So I don't even know why I was trying so damn hard.
"Okay baby. See you tomorrow." I said.
"See you. But I'll tell you what? You won't be seeing shit if you don't break up with her. You gone be standing right there on that doorstep boy." She said leaning on the door.
"I know. I know. I'm going. Lock that door. And text me when you're about to go to sleep." I said.
"Okay. Text me when you get home please." She said.
"Okay baby." I said making her smile. And she went in the house.
I got in the car and texted Melanie telling her I was coming over there to ask her something. I thought it would be fucked up to tell her I'm breaking up with her through text message. I thought that would be pretty damn messed up. I'll just break up with her in person and quickly try to get out there.
I'm not gonna tell her why, because I know she is gonna get pissed if she finds out I'm leaving her for Nalani. So I'll come up with an excuse on the spot.
I went over there and she let me in.
"What did you wanna ask me babe?" She asked.
"I wanna break up." I said.
"What are you talking about Taehyung?" She said looking at me.
"I can't do this anymore. I just need to...work on myself." I said.
"How long do you think that's gonna take?" She asked.
"Melanie please don't make this hard. I just wanna focus on myself. You'll find someone better than me." I said holding her hands.
"Taehyung. Are you serious?" She said.
"I'm serious Melanie. I just don't want to be with anyone right now. I have this baby on the way. I can't be doing too much at once. Please understand." I said and she sighed and took a deep breath.
"Okay." She said and it actually surprised me. I thought she was going to throw something at me or yell at me and scream at me. Hell she might have even killed me. That could have been a possibility. Honestly. But I need to take what I can get and not question it and dig myself a deeper hole.
"Thank you Melanie." I said and she nodded. I went to the door and left out and let out a breath I didn't know I was holding. I quickly got to my car and drove away before she decided she didn't want to be calm and just hurt me on my way out.
But I was super happy cause I get to finally be back with Nalani. As I was starting the car I got a text from Nalani saying goodnight and I told her I was driving home. And she called me.
"I thought you said you were going to sleep." I said laughing starting to drive.
"I thought you were already home. Just stay on the phone with me till you get in the bed. And then I can go to sleep." She said making me laugh again.
"Okay baby." I said making her smile.
She talked to me and I let her just ramble on and on. Because I love hearing her voice and how if you let her she can just talk and talk.
When I got home I went straight upstairs and to the bathroom.
"Woah woah. You just gone get undressed. In front of me?" Nalani said.
"Now Nalani. You have seen my whole body. And I have seen every single inch of yours. Cut it out." I said making her laugh.
"But I haven't seen it in 8 months." She said.
"That not even a year. I'm gonna take my clothes off." I said about to take my shirt off.
"And I'm gonna put you on pause." She said making me laugh and she damn sure put me on pause.
I took a shower and after I got in the bed.
"Okay good night baby." I said.
"Good night Tae." I said and we hung up. And I went to sleep.
