Choi Areumin

"Keeper," I whispered, plopping myself down on the bed after changing into one of the night dresses I found on Areumin's cabinet

He might not have been expecting calls from me since he seemed unprepared and doing other stuff.

He appeared in the middle of the room, almost losing his balance and when he regained it, he turned around to face me.

"You know, I'm starting to think it was a bad idea that I told you to call me anytime," he complained, brows arching up.

There he was, standing up with a pair of fork and knife on both hands, and a bib hanging on his collar,

"I was... eating, as you can see. I craved for that steak so badly..." he sighed then waved his hand, making the silverware and the cloth piece disappear into thin air

"I'm sorry," I muttered then gave him an apologetic smile

He then snapped his fingers, a chair appeared beside him. He sat on it then snapped again, it didn't have any effect on the both of us nor on the objects around us, I was expecting something to be conjured out of thin air but there was none.

"AHEM," He unnecessarily cleared his throat loudly,

It made me panic so I quickly shushed him and said "Oh my god- shush, they'll hear us!"

"I was testing it if it worked and I think it did," he was still calm like we weren't going to get caught

"The what worked?" I whisper-shouted at him

"I gave them a dream, something to put them into a deep sleep, so that they wouldn't walk in on us, talking about how your day went," he explained, I swear I saw his eyes roll

"You can give people dreams?" I questioned, partly amazed

"It depends on what they have in their subconscious." He paused

"For example, before going to sleep they thought about going on a trip or to somewhere that looked like paradise, I use it against them so they'll get so engrossed in their dream until they're in this deep sleep that separates them from their conscious self," he finished off explaining,

"Enough about me, what happened to you?" he crossed his arms in front of him, like asking his child how her first day of school went

"I personally think it wasn't bad at all," I responded honestly

"I'm gonna need more than that," he urged me to expound the details so I did

"At times I just mess up a little bit but the reasons came out naturally, and I'm pretty sure those weren't pretty huge changes." I nodded to myself and to him in assurance

"Like when I was culture-shocked when they left the door open when we're leaving to the store, I mean that's something I did not encounter in the 2000s," I spoke, unaware of the actions and gestures I was doing while talking

"Ah, locks," I was sure he scoffed,

"I had some trouble with them when they started using it. I had to call people to break my lock multiple times because I kept forgetting about the keys but yeah, go on," he indicated my turn to speak

"And I had to hold back a laugh when I first saw the car, it was just so... peculiar," I thought of the most non-offensive word I could think of, because of course,

This is still their timeline I'm talking about; I didn't want him to get offended

"It was NOT peculiar. Your cars are more peculiar. Why is it all round-cornered and chubby?" he defended, the motion of his hand imitating the round shape of modern-day cars
