"Noona?" I called out, but there was no response. I had already checked Jin hyung's, Hobi hyung's, and RapMon hyung's rooms but couldn't find her. I tried calling her, but she wasn't picking up. I decided to call Jimin hyung since he was the last one seen with her.
As I was calling him, I spotted Y/n. "Noona! Where have you been? I've been searching everywhere for you. I—" I noticed her wiping her face.
"Why are you crying?" I asked, gently turning her face toward me. "Jungkook, I'm tired. Just let me go," she said in a small voice. I grabbed her hands, stopping her from moving.
"Let's go for a walk," I said, leading her to the garden behind the hotel.
We walked in silence, but I could hear her sniffles. "Noona, who made you cry? I'll take care of them," I said protectively.
Y/n has been like an older sister to me since I was 19. She understood my drive and competitiveness, and she was always there when I needed to vent. Seeing her cry hurts just like it does with Hyungs. I can't stand to see her upset.
"Will you hurt Army?" she asked softly. I shook my head. "If they hurt you, they aren't Army," I replied. Her lips curled into a faint smile. "You're too good, Kookie," she said, ruffling my hair before continuing to walk.
"I will never break your trust, Jungkook. I'm friends with you because you guys make me feel like I belong somewhere. I'm not using you for fame or anything like that," she rambled on. I realized then why she was upset. Some fans are cruel, insulting her and hating her simply because she's close to us. I understand their protectiveness, but they need to see things from her perspective.
Despite the haters, there are many who appreciate how much Y/n cares for us and supports us. "I know that. We all know that, Noona. Hobi hyung and Suga hyung trust you with their lives. Their judgment is the best among us seven. Plus, the entire crew and management love you," I said, turning her to face me.
"Don't ever think otherwise. We love and care for you dearly. We know who you are and how you are. Now, stop pouting and let's go back. I'm hungry."
She smiled at me, and I grinned wider.
