Today we're heading to Malta, and I've got to pack and record before we leave. I know Y/n is coming over soon, so I hurried to finish my packing. After saying my goodbyes to the camera, I started organizing my clothes. I heard a knock at the door and called, "Come in!"
"Woah! Some serious packing going on here!" Y/n's voice rang out. I turned around to see her in denim shorts and a loose T-shirt. "Well, gotta pack everything," I smiled, and she nodded. "Want some help?" she asked. I shook my head, but she insisted. "Alright! Here's my kit; please keep my hair and skincare products in it." I handed her the kit, and she took it.
A few minutes later, I heard her ask, "Joon, can I borrow your shampoo and conditioner?" I laughed and continued packing. After a while, I zipped up my bag and sat on the bed. Y/n was sprawled out on the bed, so I laid back next to her. She started playing with my hair as I closed my eyes, enjoying the quiet. "Will you miss me?" she asked softly. "Last night, everyone said they'd miss me except you," she pouted, which made me chuckle. "Of course I'll miss you, Cammie. Who will I go on coffee dates with?" I winked, and she blushed.
Her hair fell around our faces, creating a curtain. I stood up, pulled her onto my lap, and she gasped, her cheeks turning red. "I'll miss you, Y/n. More than anyone on this trip," I whispered. She looked at me with wide eyes. I spotted my small Koya plushie and handed it to her. "Take this. Whenever you miss me, cuddle it or give it a kiss." Her smile widened so much it made me smile as well. She hugged me, and I pulled her closer. Even though I'm only going for a few days, it feels like a lifetime. I'm so used to seeing her every day for the past two months that being apart feels strange.
I'll admit that when we first met, I kept my distance. I'm not sure why, but I did. As she got closer to the members, I felt a weird twinge but lacked the courage to talk to her. She always smiled at me, but I couldn't hold a conversation. Then, during last New Year's, things changed. I was frustrated while brainstorming ideas and shouted at my wall, which she heard. She came to check on me, and we ended up talking all night. Since then, her company has been incredibly soothing. She's like a mix of Jimin and Hobi, more of Jimin, really. We go for coffee together, read together, or I visit her apartment whenever we're both free and in the same place. I do have feelings for her, though the amount of hate she gets just for being friends with us makes me hesitate to ask her out. But the truth is, I have a lot of feelings for her.
At the airport, she's hugging each of us goodbye. J-Hope is acting like a worried mother. "Call me when you leave and when you arrive. Text me before sleeping and when you wake up. If I don't pick up, call someone from the crew or the members. Don't ghost me or I'll kick your ass," he rants. He's nervous because she's heading back to Busan to visit her mother.
"Hyung, calm down. She'll be fine," Jimin says, trying to pull J-Hope away from Y/n.
"Hobi, I'm going to Busan, you're going to Malta. You do all that for me. Now go and enjoy yourselves," she smiles as she walks away. I look back and catch her glancing at me. She gestures to her phone and then to me. I pull out my phone and read her text:
"Don't lose your passport, luggage, yourself, or any member. I'll keep Koya close. Have a safe flight, Joonie. ♥
y/nnie"
I chuckled, looked up at her, and nodded.
