"ruby?" jisoo asks amused. she had to be surprised.

after having an almost breakdown, the last person she would want to see right now is ruby. but that fact the bully doesnt seem to realise because there she is standing just by the door in her all her evil glory.

although the usual cocky volleyball commander did seem a little nervous. just a tiny bit. as she clasped both of her hands infront of her abdomen and her head down to the lowest. the surprised glint that flashed in her hazel orbs didnt wasnt missed by jisoo when the latter called her name. for a moment jisoo thought that ruby was expecting someone else and now that jisoo had come out, it seemed like, her worst nightmare was standing just before her.

ruby's breathing had become heavy as soon as their eyes met and even from a distance, jisoo could tell that her heart beat was erratic. when ruby didnt say anything for a few lengthy seconds, jisoo moved her eyes at her back and found her living room empty. its probably nice that her father gave her some space. but she cant stop her mind from wondering where her annoyingly nosy father went?

"you need to come with me." it was an order. jisoo's eyes flashed towards ruby and even though the latter was visibly nervous, her voice was commanding as always.

"i dont think i-" well why would jisoo comply to this person? the root of all problems between her and her girl.

"just shut."

and just like that, ruby dashed towards jisoo and grabbed her wrist to drag her out. jisoo was barely able to leg her front door to close it as ruby was very clearly in a hurry. jisoo didnt protest and didnt even try to say anything to stop ruby. the hope she badly needed and craved for, for the past week was somehow here and she wouldnt want to let go.

"have you ever fought?" ruby asks suddenly. they were already on the staircase, climbing up.

"huh? what do you mean?" jisoo asks back. the broad stairs didnt stand a chance against the two athletes as they kept climbing and climbing. the idea of the existence of an elevator never entering their brains.

"if you were punched.. uh.. multiple times. would you be able to take it?" ruby asked again and she came to a stop infront of a door. jisoo suspected it was the gate to hell. she meant rooftop, but since her fear of heights.. gateway to hell it might as well be.

"uh.. you know we can t-talk somewhere else.." jisoo tries to convince ruby and gives her a nervous chuckle. as ruby turns her body towards the raven she glares at the latter.

"would you be able to take the punches?" ruby exclaims once again. more firmly this time.

"yeah!" jisoo fakes enthusiasm but to be honest all that there is in her mind is how tall this building is and how bad will it hurt if ruby brought her here to push her off the roof.

"great."

jisoo's eyes comically widened as, in a flash, ruby turned around and pushed the gate open to pull jisoo in. kinda harshly. frantically shaking her head and protesting, she was pushed towards the middle of the rooftop by ruby. the raven was so scared that she closed her eyes.. actually squeezed them shut to prevent a heart attack.

and suddenly, ruby stopped pushing from behind.

not wasting a second jisoo opened her eyes to observe her surrounding. maybe ruby knew about her acrophobia and purposely bought her here to abandon her and let her die in-

her brain stopped working for a moment when her eyes landed on her.

"jennie.." jisoo whispers to herself.
