CHAPTER III

Olesya's lesson

3rd of the 2nd, year of 837, Planet: Lelladore. Kingdom: Esterlas.

Lelladore, a land far away from Earth, a world on the other side of the Milky Way Galaxy, was in my memory a beautiful place. Even for a person like me, who never looked at such things, I would classify the lands of the Esterlas kingdom as a "wondrous sight."

From the summer grass plains to the winter white snow, from the tallest trees to the smallest saplings, from the wildlife to the technology created by Dr. Hail, everything was very peaceful. The wars in the south between the other clans were nothing but pitiful and small compared to what was going on behind Esterlas's walls, deep underground where Dr. Hail worked.

Above her laboratory was a kingdom what could be mistaken as medieval, the city of Esterlas was the biggest and most advanced kingdom having bright blue hexagonal forcefields, it all came from the brilliant yet dangerous time traveller Dr. Jane Hail.

Her younger sisters Jayda and Olesya were the only others that had the DNA of a feline from Claudia herself. Jane never knew the true story behind her mother's past but she went with the species name "neko," which could only be described as half cat, half humans, with whiskers, a long tail, and a pair of sensitive fluffy ears. It was something I had to get used to.

Their mother, Claudia Hail, was once the child I brought from Earth to the planet Lelladore all those years ago. That was something I knew that Jane didn't.

Jane, being the eldest, should get the throne, right? No. At 16, she renounced all claim and tore deep into the family's relationship. Her hyperactive growing intelligence sent her spiralling with curiosity and looking down at the royal throne as "something not worth her time".

Olesya's interests grew with her super intelligence growing more and more away from royalty and more wanting to be like her big sister, so Jane took her on as her laboratory apprentice. Jayda however was different, she stayed in royalty and I remember, was one of the kindest people in the universe. She was beautiful and so caring. Her love for the Esterlas people was astounding. Her super intelligence served her well in the royal courtroom, when she was crowned heir to the throne by Claudia and her husband, Arthur Hail, she was put on a pedestal.

Claudia became obsessed with making sure her daughter was right to be queen.

As time went on, Jane got more and more distant, working in her underground high-tech laboratory under the castle's keep. She would disappear for months on end, only to come back with no warning. Her time travel experiments got so dangerous she started working on an artificial intelligent code to help her safely tap into something she called "fifth dimensional travel." Then she met me, and I destroyed it all...

Black Vulture signing off.

The day was young, and beyond the city walls, a girl with a free spirit galloped through the lush foliage. Olesya urged her horse on, the wind whipping her blonde hair free from the poorly stitched hood that flew off her head. They raced through the magical woods, alive with the sounds of wildlife, and emerged from the trees onto a dirt path. her blue dress was soiled, her face scratched, and yet an almost wicked grin played on her lips, for she knew her mother would not be pleased.

The path led to a grassy clearing, and in the distance, She could see her family's castle rising high into the sky. Three towers stood so tall that the clouds seemed to pass through the stone, and enclosed bridges connected them. She often counted the steps as she made her way through the maze-like halls, but they were a playground to her.
