Post-apocalyptic Earth 2037

Victor had done many things he regrets, when he started Reed Biology with his brother in hopes of creating a balanced income through entertainment of extinct creatures, bringing them back through DNA splicing it was nothing short of impressive, profitable but also dangerous, Victors own experiments led him into creating a device that could control earths weather, he found it was a more practical experiment than bringing back extinct animals back from the dead. They were dead for a reason but weather manipulation held many advantages for the humans on earth.

It was as if one thing led to another and all hell broke loose, mother nature was fighting back, the weather turned rapidly cold and the creatures got out of control, starting the infection bringing forth the frozen apocalypse, and these things was something Victor regrated very deeply.

But what he did for Claudia, letting her go? That was something he didn't regret. Victor was never a bad man, never wanted anything to go too far, but The Eclipse was something he isn't proud of. When the black vulture came for Claudia and he let them escape at first he was shaken but when he thought about his decision it was nothing but pride that he finally did something right.

He didn't know the Black Vulture's intentions but for some reason he felt it was something better than being locked in a cage and experimented on her whole life.

Letting the Black Vulture find him was definitely his plan, he didn't know where he was going but the direction they ran off in, his hand held his bandaged one as he tightly squeezed his hand, in his mind the blade Scarlett shoved in was still in there, blood was still seeping through the bandage as he held it tightly.

Scarlett's little stunt was only a few minutes ago but Victor was no longer scared he, he was done with her, but he had to be smart. Her claims on hurting his son was nothing but true. Scarlett was crazy and Victor knew that.

As Victor walked through the snow he continued to think on what to do, what to say, at this point he was on autopilot, the only weapon he had was a simple military pistol with a single clip of ammunition.

Victor was walking blind in the dark but he just wanted to make sure the child was safe, he had to, he felt it was his obligation, the more he walked through the darkened bushland, the more he thought on how far the Vulture could have gone with the child.

As minutes turned into hours Victor felt his feet going numb from the cold, he was heavily clothed and warm but being covered in snow the whole way as his feet dragged in the thick soft snow was taking its toll.

But before he could turn around his eyes met with not trees, not snow, not darkness but light. A camp light, he hurried towards it quietly as he shivered from the frosty wild, he got behind a tree taking in the campsite, it was a simple fire but what was the main thing that stuck out to him was the woman in the white lab coat.

Those brown ear, the tail, the blue watch on her wrist as she spoke to the young child in a soft tone,

"Trust The Vulture, I'll see you soon," the woman whispered to the girl as she stepped back, Victor watched with curious intent as she started pressing buttons on that blue watch on her wrist and with a flash of blinding blue light and the sound of a lightening bolt hitting the earth she vanished.

Victor shook his head trying to think if he was seeing things, he watched the child kneel down caressing where the woman in the lab coat stood, the vulture growling to the darkness.

He was trying to piece together on how to handle this, of course they wouldn't trust him, but staring at the vulture not through the security footage and seeing it here and in the now was definitely something more real and scary.
