Post-apocalyptic Earth 2037

The girl before Astrid who was revealed to be the Vulture showed very little emotion, her face stone cold as she stared into Astrid's eyes, the girl's eyes had blackened bags under them shouting she hasn't slept in quite a while.

"it's not every day I show my face but I want you to trust me, I didn't want to take Ashanna away like that, she wanted me to come find your group to take you to where she is". The girl responded blandly.

Astrid's heart quickened as she gulped, "take us where?"

The girl took a moment to respond, "Esterlas".

Astrid started to relax; her fists felt the relief of letting go from her strong grip of a fist as she questioned the strange girl.

"Why do it in the first place then?".

The girls eye twitched as she could sense Astrid was starting to trust her.

"she is apart of something that is bigger than all of us that I don't personally understand but I think Jane could explain it to you"

Astrid stood there beyond confused as she looked towards her blades and picked up then up to slowly put them away as she asked her next question, "Jane? Jane being the cat person that was apparently with you when you took her?"

The girl nodded softly before taking a look around the darkened cave, "yes, but we need to get out of here alive so you can actually meet her and see Ashanna again".

Astrids eyes sparked with a glimmer of hope as the girl mentioned seeing Ashanna again.

"that's it? You walt into our lives, steal our friend then give her back no extra charge?"

The girl turned around annoyed at Astrids sarcasm, her helmet carried under her arm she started to walk down deeper into the cave and Astrid has no choice but to follow.

"I told you, I'm not your enemy." The girl responded as she moved the helmet to face outwards and on her forearm she pushed a button that turned on a headlight on the side of the helmet acting as a light source.

"Then who are you" Astrid demanded.

"pass" the girl responded quickly.

"what's your name?" Astrid asked trying another question.

"Pass, no more questions about me" the girl repeated.

Astrid sighed as she asked another, "who's this Jane then?"

"don't know" the girl said, and Astrid sighed deeply, as the two walked down the darkened tunnel hoping to find a way out.

The girl thought for a moment as she felt bad for what Astrid would be thinking, a stranger saving her that stole her friend, she knew she had to act a bit different if they were going to pull off what Jane is wanting, everyone needs to get along here and not giving any information wouldn't help so the girl stopped in the middle of the tunnel and turned to face Astrid.

"I don't... understand who she is but I will know her soon, I've known her for very little time, she's a time traveller, and so am I, I use an outdated version of what she uses but it allows us to travel between dimensions of time and space".

Astrid was thankful for the girl opening up a little but what she was saying didn't make much sense, of course no one would believe what she's saying but because Adam, Sam and Tom all said they saw a cat lady disappear like a flash of lightening Astrid started to feel that she didn't understand the world as she thought.
