Ryan considered it strange that a certain red head had texted her asking her to come over as he dearly missed her company and sarcastic comments, yet she found it stranger that she smiled at the text and made her way over speedily whilst hoping a certain Bowen boy was also there and missing her company.
As she slid down the staircase leading to Big red's basement she heard the endings of the duo's conversation.
"When does he say that?"
"When does who say what?" She questioned causing Ricky to raise from his seat and stare at her, it was at this moment he noticed his heart rate increase the same way it used to increase for Nini. The pair stared at each other briefly before Ryan remembered she was mad at the boy, she passed him and jumped onto Red's bed.
"Hey Harmony you look...clean", the nervous boy spoke sitting back down to face his two friends we sat on the bed eating snacks. "clean..I look clean and you look stupid, where have you been."
Ricky glanced at his best friend for back up yet, he was ignored and Big red sat with crisps in his hands hiding a giggle that escaped his lips. "I wasn't avoiding you Ryan, I swear" "I never said you were, yet you just did" The boy grew red and ducked his head down.
"It's fine Ricky, I honestly don't care"
But it really wasn't fine and she really did care.

On regular school days the pair, Bella and Ryan would spend their lunches apart. Bella in the library reading whatever she could find and Ryan in the bathroom looking for peace and quiet whilst she wrote in her song writing book. The pair understood this routine and would often meet up after to discuss the successes of their lunch time which was mainly Bell ranting about the book she had just read.
However, today was different for the pair as Bell had dragged Ryan with her insisting that she must stay with her this lunch. The truth is Ricky had spoken to Bell last night saying he was concerned for Ryan, he couldn't tell Bell exactly why but knowing Ryan's past she knew what the boy meant. So she insisted they spend time together, Bell knew that as much as Ryan loved her alone time she also really loved spending time with people who actually wanted to spend time with her. She could tell by the small smile that had graced Ryan's lips as they walked through the isles of the library.
As they strolled the pair noticed the odd couple, Ej and Nini whispering in the corner, Bell grabbed onto Ryan's arm pulling her to the corner allowing them to eavesdrop on the conversation. Ryan had been thinking of the girl Nini since her confrontation, she felt guilty, as much as she didn't like the girl she also was envious of her going back the many years when Ricky stopped spending time with Ryan for the brunette. Seeing Nini be unreasonable angered her in ways she couldn't possible describe however the reality was it was none of her business, she knew she had to apologize.
Listening closely to the couple's conversation, Ryan rolled her eyes, she had learned that Nini had stolen Gina's things and was proud of this. The conversation erased the girls ideas of apologizing and came to the realization that Nini honestly wasn't a good person. She grabbed onto her bag whilst she walked past the couple ignoring Bell's tugging of her shirt.
"Return her shoes" was all so said in the most coldest manner, that even Ej was intimidated by the girl, before continuing to walk away and out the library.
Bell followed behind guiltily knowing the real trfu7th behind Nini's thieving ways, knowing that if her best knew of her involvement, Ryan would be disappointed.

After the numerous song writing sessions, Ryan was slowly becoming accustomed to Ashlynn's company , she found the girl cute and refreshing, kind of like a golden retriever. The two were currently at Ashlynn's house doing math's homework, well actually, Ashlynn was a doing their math's homework whilst Ryan sat on the counter ranting to the girl about the theatre club.
"It's causing such a weird dynamic, it's all hostile and when has theatre club ever been hostile Ash. And Ricky he's actually trying to be a good Troy but then he comes into rehearsals and it's all Nini this and Nini that" The girl continued not caring that the red head was barely listening and was instead answering the questions before her until, intrusive eager knocks interrupted the two causing Ryan to jump off the counter and stand next to her friend.
"I'm in the kitchen Ej" Ashlynn shouted leading to Ryan to groan and slam her head on the table.
"Now I don't feel welcome" "ignore her" the cousins interacted.
"No, don't ignore me, why is the disappointing Chad here " She glared at the boy whilst her friend filled her in about the phone situation. Gina had given Ej Nini's phone in which he snooped and deleted a voice note from Ricky. Hearing about the voice note left a sting in Ryan's heart but she focused on glaring at the boy in front of her who sat on the counter right next to her.
To apologize for his invasive behaviour, Ej had decided to write a song for his girlfriend, Ryan rolled her eyes but secretly she found the whole ideal to be cute. She turned to face the boy oblivious that she was now leaning her arm on his leg and shared how she wanted to hear the song.
"I don't really want an audience for this" "Well too bad Ej, you've interrupted my study date with your cousin so now I have to hear this song" Patting his leg she walked away dragging her friend to the living room waiting to be serenaded by the boy. Noticing his worried face the girls told him to song from the heart and that they we proud of him. Weirdly Ej felt a bit better knowing Ryan was there to listen, he didn't know the girl but he knew she'd be honest with him and if he could phone to a cold blunt girl like Ryan he'd definitely be able to perform for his girlfriend.
The one word Ryan could use to describe the song was silly, the song was incredibly silly however Ryan found herself smiling contagiously at Ej's song, Ryan always found relationships to be a waste of time but that was honestly because the only boy she did want to have a relationship with constantly chose another girl over her countlessly however she craved to have a person who would go out ad beyond for her. So seeing Ej write a song to show how he feels to his girlfriend made her heart shatter and fluster at the same time. She craved that attention .
Singing his song more comfortably due to Ryan's genuine smile, he spun both girls round and sang to them happily all around the living room. Ryan couldn't remember the last time she smiled and had fun with people other than Bell and Sacha, it felt really new to her hearing giggles leave her mouth as Ej sang out riffs she never thought a teenage boy like Ej could do. As the song ended the trio we back at the kitchen, Ryan holding onto Ashlynn's arm with a smile on her face and Ej across from them with a hopeful expression.
Ryan excused herself to answer her sister's call telling her sister that she was probably going to sleep over as it was too late to skate home. Sacha found it strange that Ryan was actually spending time with someone else that wasn't Bell or Ricky and was hoping that this lay was going to return old Ryan back to her. The sisters ended the conversation and Ryan began to approach the kitchen before bumping in to a gloomy Ej.
"You should cheer up the song wasn't half bad"
"It's okay you don't have to lie, I'm just going to tell her the truth and move on"
"Alright, well I rarely give out compliments but the song wasn't half bad and regardless, the effort is honestly what counts, I can tell you really like her" a small smile made its way onto her lips as she started to walk back to the kitchen until the boy called her name with a grin.
"Does this make us like friends now" He asked, causing Ran to roll her eyes with a smile yet still walking away leaving a confused Ej by the door.
