Especially in a relationship way
Especially because I thought it was a normal thing
But he held me while I was asleep in the car
And he whispered a sentence I never knew I needed to hear
"I'm not going anywhere anytime soon"
That's when I knew the other boy damaged me
That's when I knew you saw right through me
I let go of the breath I was holding since we started dating
Afraid you'd take everything back
Afraid that you'd change your mind
Even planning on what to do once you did
But if there's one thing to know about me is words mean a lot
Specific sentences determine who I am with you
You let me be okay with it
You have proved time and time again that you weren't going anywhere
But it was that sentence that made me sure about it
