Thursday, 04:46 pm.

Arriving at home, Nya tossed her bag onto the floor next to where she hung up her dark gray coat and felt her feet relax after she took off her shoes. She stretched, hearing some cracks and looked into the small mirror on the little table. Her hair was a mess due to the severe windy attack on her.

"Are you back, sis?" She heard her brother scream at the top of his lungs from probably the living room.

Nya walked into the direction she thought the voice came from and surely, it was the living room. There she found her brother sitting on the couch, dumping his hand into a bowl of popcorn, watching TV. When she looked at the TV screen, she realized he was watching a true crime documentary. Why she realized it so quickly? Well, she was the one to suggest the certain YouTube channel to her brother, and apparently he liked their content just as much as she did.

Kai paused the video when he realized she was standing next to the couch, smirking. "Hey." He greeted, however the smirk was still there and she didn't greet back. He sighed, defeated. "Fine, I like their stuff. Happy?" He talked about the YouTube channel.

"Now I am, thank you." She then sat down next to him and took one popcorn and popped it into her mouth. "Guess who turned out to be my new Physics teacher."

"There's a new teacher?" Kai asked, also popping a single popcorn into his mouth.

"Mhm, and not just any teacher."

"What do you mean?" Kai raised an eyebrow.

She finished the popcorn in her mouth and leaned back into the couch, now looking at a wall while talking. "It's Jay." She simply stated.

Kai choked. "Jay, as in the dude you used to call best friend like four years ago who hurt you by never contacting you back?!" With each word that's passed his lips, Kai became more furious.

Nya side-eyed him. "Yeah, I mean I don't know another Jay, do I? But bro, we talked and sorted things out. He explained everything and he never even meant to break contact back then."

"What do you mean?" Kai narrowed his eyes.

"Apparently he lost his phone in a bus and never found it again and lost my number and all of his other contacts." She explained.

Kai sighed. "As much as I wanna stay mad, that pretty much describes him best. I mean, from what I remember, he used to be extremely clumsy." He laughed at the memory.

Nya smiled to herself. "Yeah, and he was pretty nice. We're friends again, by the way."

"Fine by me," Kai shrugged. "but could you ask him to come over some time? I'd like to see him again."

"Sure!" Nya beamed. She then got off of the couch. "I'll be in my room. Gotta do some homework."

"Alright." Her brother answered before he focused back on the TV and pushed play again.

Once she arrived in her bedroom, she immediately plopped down onto her bed. The baby blue sheets wrinkled on impact with her body and she bounced a little because of the many metal springs inside of her mattress. She laid down on her stomach, legs held up high and crossed in the air while she rested her upper body's weight on her elbows. In her hand was her phone. She tapped on the display and surely, there was a message from an unknown number saying 'Hey, I'm Jay. You know, that dude from earlier.'

She smiled as she reread the message for like the billionth time ever since school had ended. After their little reunion after Physics class, Jay and Nya didn't have a chance to see each other in school again. That's why he had sent her the message about two minutes after school was over for the day.
