Chapter 28 - For Infinity

Adraniel's Pov:

Something had happened...

As if the time had slowed down everything around us except me.
I looked around and saw everything and everyone were frozen in their places.
My gaze went around the room and fell upon two tall figures, one with greyish black wings standing on doors of the hall with a pained and sad expression. Whereas the other whom I have never saw standing in a black haze with a stoic face. 
I felt my heart being crushed and an immense pain shot in my heart.

Both of them shook their heads slowly and sighed. It was Azrael, angel of death and the other angel of death they told me about. What was his name,
Damos. Was it?

Someone was about to die. And if Azrael and Damos both were here showing their condolences mean someone close to me or him was about to die.

Was it me ? Was it him? Or was it.......

The time continued back to its original speed and the my attention fell back on my father and the sword in his hand flying towards me. I close my eyes and
I didn't even knew when someone grabbed me and turned me around. I suddenly was engulfed in someone's chest and I couldn't see anything.

The said body jerked and I felt a stinging and sharp pain all over my chest.
I looked up to see it was Lucien and then down gasping to see the sword went through his chest and pierced mine. The sword went first through him and then me.

We felt closer than ever and being impaled with the same sword and on the brink of death.
Was this our end?
Was this how we'd die?
Atleast we were together.

Wait no.
Two of them came. Lucien and I were going to different places after dying.

No no no no this can't happen. This is not right.
I gasped and panted as my breaths became ragged . My lungs were pierced and filling with blood. Each breath felt like thousand pieces of glass stabbing me at once.

Everyone and everything around us became silent and the sounds of clinking of swords dropping on the floor filled the silent room.  No one actually expected this.

My mother's and sister's ear piercing scream filled the room.
The other sins dropped everything and rushed to us.
At a distance I could see Elijah and Emmanuel running to me from opposite directions. It all felt surreal and everything was slowed and the sounds felt coming from a distance.

"I - l-love you !" Lucien whispered or I thought he did because due to the silence it was loud enough to echo.

"I lo- love yo-uh too , for infinity!" I whispered back as hot tears fell down my eyes as I hugged him but hissed when the sword moved.
It was the last moment I had and I was with Lucien in his arms and him in mine greeting death.
No one really expected father to really kill me. It really happened.

The room spinned and I started feeling dizzy .
Everything was turning black and the last thing I saw before darkness was the soft smile Lucien gave me as we fell sideways.

We both accepted our death and fate courageously and took our last breaths in each other's arms. Because at this moment I felt.

*Sigh*

I felt complete and satiated.
