"Y/N! Dinner is ready!" your mom called loudly as her voice echoed through the hallway, catching your attention. "Coming!", you replied hastily. Quickly turning off the switches in your room, you rushed to the living room with a smile on your face and an impatient stomach.
"You made my favourite dish!" you grinned brightly before munching into the meal, earning a smile from your parents. "Y/N dear, there is something we wanted to tell you," your dad said as you looked up from your plate.
"Hmm?" you questioned with meat in your mouth. "My friend has sent a proposal of marriage for his son. He thinks you would be an excellent match for him". You choked on your rice at his words as your mom poured you a glass of water.
"I am not getting married yet. Especially to someone I don't have a clue about!" "Y/N honey, we met his son a while back and he is the sweetest boy I have ever seen. Plus, he has a successful company that he built on his own. Consider yourself lucky," your mom said calmly.
"Still! I can't just get married blindly to someone I don't even know!" 'So what if he is a CEO, he probably looks horrible!' you thought.
"You can at least meet him and see for yourself!" your mom scoffed. "Mr. Park has invited us for dinner tomorrow regarding this marriage. You can then decide if you still want to dismiss such a wonderful proposal!"
Great! Now you had to attend a fancy dinner, being the center of attention despite your social anxieties. Ugh! "Whatever. But I'm probably not going to get married," you mumbled just to hear a deep sigh.
After finishing dinner and helping with the dishes, you went to the balcony for some fresh air and to clear your thoughts. You stared at the shining moon, which was the only light source in the dark night, spraying its beam across the small space.
Your brief moment was interrupted by a call from your best friend. "Hey Y/N! How is it going?" Seyeon exclaimed in her usual enthusiastic loud tone.
"Huh? Not good. My parents want me to get married to some guy I haven't met yet. I am going to meet him and his family tomorrow. I'm already dreading the idea. How about you?"
"Aww, my bestie is getting married!" Seyeon exclaimed, earning a grunt from you. "Maybe he's a good guy and you will end up liking him. Who knows? And I'm still out of town. Won't be back till Sunday morning."
"Like him? Pfft! You know, I never really had my eyes on anyone. Love is just not for me. Anyway, why are you away for so long?"
"I met my boyfriend's parents earlier. They were pretty nice. What a relief, I thought they would kick me out as soon as they saw me,' your best friend chuckled from the other line.
"Well, that's good. Anyway, I have to go now. Take care, bye-bye," you said as Seyeon bade you goodbye.
You watched Jimin using the coffee machine and slump into a different couch with the latest newspaper in his hand. The whole day passed in a daze like this and that.

It was the evening of the dinner and your mom dragged you into a mall to get you a dress to give the Park family a 'good impression' as she calls it. "Mom! This one is too much!" You exclaimed as she shoved a red-and-white floral off-shoulder dress on you and pushed your back into a changing room.
"You will look amazing in this!" she said while waiting. You finally walked out of the fitting room with a slight smile. It shaped your body perfectly, gripping your curves flawlessly.
"You look incredible!" Your mom exclaimed as she pulled out matching red heels from the cart, indicating you to step into them.
You were never a fan of heels, not only because they were so unbearably uncomfortable, but also they made you feel weird. Especially if you're the only one wearing them.
You looked at yourself in the cubicle mirror one last time before following your mom to check out. "This is all," you heard your mom say. The cashier-lady scanned the barcode on the still attached tag to the dress and shoes before tearing them off.
Then your mom dragged you into a beauty boutique to do your hair and make-up. She mumbled a 'thankyou' before paying and taking you towards the parking lot.
You walked over to your dad's car with your mom as he turned back to see you, his hands still gripping the steering wheel. "You look stunning," he said, while a smile made its way to his face.
"Where are we going?" You asked, narrowing your eyes as you could not recognize the route. "Mr. Park has made a reservation at a 5-star restaurant," your mom said from the front seat.
You suddenly felt nervous as your dad parked the car near the hotel. You opened the car door and stepped out. Your mom patted your back as she said, "Make a good impression, hmm?"
The cold early spring breeze lingered on your cheek as you looked up to a tall, fancy glass building with a label that said 'Golden Palace' in enchanted golden lettering.
