It's been a few minutes since Jimin left and you decided to get some more sleep. Walking upstairs, you threw yourself on the soft, heavenly bed, ready to obtain some good, relaxing sleep.
Your sleep was interrupted for the second time today by the sound of the doorbell ringing. You got off the bed, groaning in annoyance as you slid a cardigan around your small torso, as well as fixing yourself a bit.
Walking up to the main door from upstairs, you looked at the front camera to find it showing two women in their early 30's standing on the front door with wide smiles on their faces.
Still confused, you opened the door. "We're your neighbors," one of them said, smiling. "Oh, come in," you said, smiling back while making way for them to walk into the penthouse. They were several years older than you.
"Here!" she said, handing you a plate of delicious-looking macarons. "We made these ourselves!" the one wearing a black-and-white blazer said. You smiled at them as you muttered a grateful thankyou.
"I'll make you something to snack on," you were about to make your way towards the kitchen when one of them held your arm, stopping you. "You don't have to make anything for us, we just came for a short time".
"Let me please get some tea or coffee," you said, totally ignoring the coffee machine and pulling on the cabinet to make tea. You were done in no time as you brought a few toasts with you.
The three of you sat down on your living room couch when the lady with short brown hair started a conversation. "I'm Yeo Na-Ri, I live on the 87th floor," she said, taking a sip off the teacup.
"I'm Seo Ye-Rim and I live right opposite Na-Ri Eonnie," the other one said, her dark doe eyes smiling with her. "Is that so? I'm Y/N, Kim Y/N," you said. "Y/N? That's a nice name," the woman with short hair said which earned a chuckle from you.
"The thing is, we never had a neighbor from the penthouse. So when we saw that someone finally moved, we were naturally curious," Ye-Rim said as she slammed her hands on her lap.
'Oh, so this is not where Jimin was living before I moved in? No wonder it was so neat and tidied up. That also meant people had come into the penthouse before the wedding and had set it up' you thought.
"This penthouse is beautiful, although it's a little different from our apartments," Na-Ri said, her eyes scanning the place gracefully. "I guess this is where life has brought me," you said, looking around as a small sigh escaped your lips.
"Are you married?" she continued, her index finger pointing at your ring finger. "Ah, yes. I got married very recently," you said, sparing a quick glance at your beautiful wedding ring.
"That's a beautiful ring," Ye-Rim said, her eyes fixated intently on the sparkling diamond ring that was wrapped tightly around your fourth finger. "So who's the lucky guy- IS THAT YOUR HUSBAND?" she said, raising her voice suddenly.
You noticed the direction Ye-Rim was looking and saw that she was staring attentively at a picture frame of Jimin receiving an award. It was beside another picture of him smiling. "Oh my god! That's the CEO of PARK Cosmetics!" Na-Ri exclaimed.
"Uhm- yeah, we are married but is that supposed to be that big of a deal- honestly I don't even know why I agreed to this in the first place," you said, dumbfounded at them. 'Are all CEOs this well-known?' you asked yourself.
"Oh, you were arranged with him?" "You have hit the jackpot," Ye-Rim chuckled. "Not everyone has enough ability to live here. I am a doctor and my husband is a famous lawyer here in Seoul. We even have a boy who's four,"
"You think so? Jackpot? I don't know why he agreed to the marriage either but I guess I'm really liking this penthouse and all the unnecessary rich-people things," you said, smiling foolishly.
