"I know, I know, it's crazy honestly. To the point, I'm thinking about not studying anymore. But I'm not living like a princess as you think," I sighed. "He's not rude and doesn't shout, but he's so distant all the time. Like, ignorant."
"Hmm," Seyeon hummed, observing my expressions. "As we live together, we're under the same roof, but I still feel like I don't know anything about him," I ranted.
"Do you like him- omg- u like him, don't you?" Seyeon asked, clapping her mouth with one hand. "Wha- no I don't! I don't know from where you're making up things-"
"You don't like him? Ooh, then why are you getting so defensive? Huh?" Seyeon smirked, making me groan in annoyance. She is always like this. "No, seriously though. So what if he's rich? Not everyone has Cinderella syndrome."
"I see. But your ring. I haven't seen it close-up before, but that's the most beautiful ring I've ever seen. It totally suits you," Seyeon said. People compliment this ring a lot because it ain't the first time someone said that.
"Eh, thanks. You think so?" I said as she nodded. "Come let's get up now".
We both stood up to leave the coffee place at the mall. "Let's go there," she pointed her finger at a designer store. "Nope, we're going grocery shopping first," I said, grabbing her arm as she frowned, lips shaped into a pout.
"Yeon-Joo's birthday is coming up and I don't know what to get him," she said as I picked some fresh tomatoes. "What do guys even like these days? I don't know anything," I snorted.
"Maybe you could get him a shirt. Or a watch," I said, mind focused on selecting good gingers. "Hmm. But I want it to be special". "I'm all done, we can go to that store now," I smiled as we parted ways with the cashier.
"I bet they have new collections! Ooh, they're on sale as well!" Seyeon beamed in excitement. She always loved shopping. I smiled, following her to the place. We spent about ten minutes when she asked me for my opinion.
"Which one is better?" She held a simple jade-green halter dress on her right and a floral yellow wrap dress on her left. I pointed to the yellow dress as she kept the other one back in the hanger.
Something caught her eyes as she ran over to the handbag section. "I wanted this for three weeks already," she pouted. "I saw it four times but it's just so expensive. And beautiful!" she sighed.
"Oh, it's pretty. But it looks a bit familiar," I said, trying to remember where I saw it. Oh right, there's the same one in my closet. Wow, I have it already. The thought itself made me shiver.
"You obviously saw it. Their bags do very well in the market. It's trending. Hopefully, my next paycheck will be enough to buy it," she pouted. We paid for our items as she clutched the side of her stomach, bending down.
"I need to go to the bathroom. Wait here," she instructed me before leaving for the women's toilet. I kind of felt upset that she didn't have enough to buy the bag she really wanted.
So I secretly went back to the store and bought the bag with the debit card Jimin made me. I didn't want to know how much money there was in that bank because it would probably make my head spin.
I can now definitely buy expensive things. But if I tried to buy it for her while she was present, she would do all sorts of things to stop me. Seyeon came out of the toilet and walked over to me.
"I'm back," she said and you handed her the handbag. "Oh my god- you bought it!" "Yeah, and it's for you," I said. "Huh- For me? Oh my goodness! Thank you so much! I owe you so much n-"
"You don't owe me anything. It's a gift for you since I got married," I smiled, cutting her off. "Thank you! You really didn't have to!" she exclaimed, hugging my side.
We were happily walking back to the parking lot when I noticed Jimin's face. Wow, I guess I have to see him all the time, every day. He was in his own ad that was playing inside the 'PARK Cosmetics' store on our right.
The ad then changed to a beautiful woman applying one of his lipsticks and all the 'long-lasting' shit. "Wow, isn't that your husband's-" "Ignore it, ugh, he's everywhere," I said.
"I know you like it," she said, making me scoff. "You wish." Seyeon was about to say goodbye when you said, "Hop in, I'll give you a ride." "Thank you so much," she replied, hopping in.
I received a message from Jimin and opened it to see.
That cold-blooded reptile:
You should've told me you're at the mall with your friend.
I just scoffed at his message and didn't even bother to reply. Wondering how he knows, I figured that someone must have taken a picture of me and posted it online.
"Damn, this car is like my dream car," she complimented, looking around. "Eh, you don't need a good house and car to live," I said, although it felt good to drive something this expensive. I dropped off Seyeon and went back to the penthouse. And the rest of the day passed in a haze.
End of Your POV
─────•~❖~•─────
It was a late evening of the next day and you were reading a book near the mini aquarium. Feeling cold, you went upstairs to the closet and looked for something warm.
After fiddling around for a few seconds, you pulled out a forest-green, oversized sweatshirt that had something written on it, but you completely ignored it. Sliding the warm cloth over the thin, white t-shirt, you shrugged in satisfaction.
The clock was striking at eight as you quickly headed to the kitchen to make dinner as Jimin would be home soon. You were halfway done as you heard the main door open. His beautiful, sexy black hair was a cute, curly blonde. He can pull off any look or hair colour without even trying!
The both of you didn't see each other as he left for the upstairs bathroom without a word. You were too focused on perfecting the smoked chicken ribs to notice his whereabouts anyways.
Keeping the dish on the dining table, you were about to make your way back to the kitchen to get the other things but stopped in your tracks when you saw Jimin wearing the exact same sweatshirt.
What makes it worse is the fact that it had the word 'LOVERS' imprinted on both of the shirts. Or does it make it better? The both of you widened your eyes as you turned a light shade of pink. He was staring intensely at you.
You let out a fake cough in an attempt to break the awkward silence. "I-I didn't know there were two of these," you said shyly in a low voice. "Anyway, dinner is ready." He seemed to nod as he scratched the back of his neck.
You ate in the same awkward silence but at least you were eating good food. It's been a long time since you had Korean barbeque and they were satisfying your taste buds accordingly.
The both of you were doing your own thing after dinner until you decided to go for a walk. As you can probably tell, walks were something you cherished a lot. It's a tremendous bonus if the weather is nice as well.
They help to clear your head from negativity and find solutions to problems. So you tied your hair into a ponytail and was about to step into a pair of sneakers when you heard a man's voice from behind.
"Where are you going?" Jimin asked, trying to look like he was mad at you. His arms were crossed on his chest and his hair was down, making him appear cute to you.
You just couldn't get intimidated by him, especially when he didn't have that nasty gel on his bangs. You were trying your best to not crack into a smile as to you, he was just cutely pouting.
"I'm going for a walk," you responded.
"No, it's too late."
