"I don't think it's really relaxing for her to be in this position," Liv whispered in Taeyong's ear as they stared down at the court in front of them.
The interrogation room has never been the most comfortable place of the Neo Palace, but it was practical for what they needed to do. It was an interrogation anyway and not a bar-talk with friends. They needed to study the subjects and not chat with them, especially in a case like this.
"It's the protocol," he simply answered, laying forward, placing an elbow on his knee and then resting his chin on the palm of his hands.
"Then we shouldn't be here," the green-eyed girl spoke, scanning the room. She had only been there once, and not as an interrogate, yet, a shiver ran down her spine. Usually, only the thinkers were allowed to present there.
"It's different this time," he said, not wanting to give too much explanation. Liv was about to add something else when the door sprung open, revealing the outsider and Sicheng.

"They just have to ask you some questions. Nobody will hurt you. I'll stay by your side if you want to." That was what Sicheng told her ten minutes before when he got to her telling her that they needed to go somewhere, and probably he wasn't lying, but now that she was into that room she couldn't help but tremble.
The healer pointed at the chair in the middle of the room for her to sit and then walked over to the table. She took her seat and as soon as she laid her eyes on the men in front of her she immediately regretted telling Sicheng to not stay by her side.
Three men, she had never seen before, were sitting behind the white table. A particular oppressing gaze made her turn her attention to the one sitting on the left side. He seemed to be the oldest out of them, and also out of the people she had met in the past days. His hair was a dark brown and he had an undercut. He looked serious, but not scary. Unlike the other two men who were sitting beside him.
The one sitting in the middle was writing something down on a paper; the eyeglasses covering his face didn't stop him from looking intimidating. His features weren't particularly sharp but still, something made him look powerful.
The other one was staring straight at her soul. His gaze made her feel completely naked and, unconsciously, she moved her arms up to cover her chest. But, as much as she wanted him to break the contact, she couldn't help but stare back at him; there was something so enchanting about him, from the piercing that decorated his ears to his lips that were curved in a devilish smile. Then, when their eyes finally met, a memory flashed in her mind, but she couldn't grab it. She sighed in her head and shook the feeling off; it wasn't the right time for her brain to play games with her.
Trying to focus on the only person she knew, her eyes wandered over Sicheng, but her breath stopped when she saw other three people next to him. In the middle, there was a man she had never seen before, his red hair catching her attention along with the slit of one of his eyebrows. He was sitting straight, proud and tall. Could he be the boss everyone was talking about?
But there beside him, there was "enchanting eyes". She was far even now, but without that glass between them, she couldn't help but feel amazed by her beauty. Her natural ginger hair was a bright contrast to her pale skin, the bang and the bob cut framed her features perfectly and freckles covered her nose and cheeks. She looked like a doll, but by the way her eyes were staring down at her she could tell that she wasn't delicate and fragile at all.
Jaehyun was there too, right at the girl side. His blue hair was hidden behind a snapback and he looked tired, as if he had just finished running and strained himself.
