Chapter 8 - Micro Chipped

I couldn't remember much from the surgery except having fallen asleep as Lucy, the old lady, ran her hand through my hair as my eyes closed. As soon as it did, she told me the doctors gave me a sedative to knock me out so i couldn't feel much pain from the surgery.

When i woke up, she told me there weren't any complications in the surgery except that they had added a shock brace along with the chip near my brain so that if i had to get into an injury and go to for brain scans at the local hospital, i wouldn't have to answer any questions about the micro chip because they wouldn't be able to pick it up. "Although, I'd suggest that if you ever get hurt, you'd need to find a way to come here. It's best that my medical team treat you. I've studied your quirk all my life so i know more than the quirk doctors". I recalled the last time i visited the quirk doctor when my arm broke, they were shocked to hear my quirk existed. They had absolutely no files or information on it, except the information i gave them that day.

After saying goodbye, i teleported to my room. I opened my backpack to take out another chocolate bar but was shocked to see the bag empty. All that was in it was a brown envelope and a box underneath it. I opened the envelope first and found a bunch of paperwork. I was lazy to read it but it seemed to contain information on my quirk, its downsides, aftereffects, advantages in combat, stuff to help me use it for a long period of time without needed a bunch of sweet stuff to eat, and above all- the last line caught my attention: your new costume should help you as well.

I opened the box at the bottom of the bad, and there it was, a new costume and gadgets and a little note: You don't need the iron bracing anymore. I removed them and did some alterations to your costume, kept the design since you liked it but added some stuff of papa and Gran Torino. Give the other to Midoriya.

Sure enough, there were to costumes. One was a black jumpsuit with a glowing green line running down on each side with a bit of Gran Torino's cape tied around the leg side. I figured that was definitely going to be Izuku's. The other one was similar, but instead of green stripes, i had red ones that stood out with a glowing fire vibe. I liked it. My jumpsuit ended in a short unlike Izuku's whose was a full-on jumpsuit. On one end of the legs, the remainder of Gran Torino's cape was tied. It was clear that they tore Gran Torino's cape into two parts. Or maybe that's how it was when they found it. I was just happy to have a part of him with me. On my suit, i saw more gadgets, the same that papa wore. The black buff, the crimson red cape, the black eye mask, and of course - the knives which would slide on the side of my boot (which didn't have hardening in any longer).

I put the costumes into my school bag and read the rest of the documents that was in the envelope. I took the page including ways i could train my quirk and slipped it into my blazer pocket so that i could show Aizawa the next day for training. I still didn't have my phone, so i couldn't contact anyone.

I went to the bathroom, but then i realised that i needed to wash off all this gruesome makeup Momo applied to hide the bruises. I looked in the mirror and noticed the large bandage over my head, how did i not notice this before? I unwrapped the bandage to find newly stitched stitches across the side of my head coming onto my forehead. That's definitely going to leave a scar.

Megumi was pretty quiet so i assumed he was asleep. I popped out of the room, down the stairs and into the kitchen to grab some water. I was shocked to see him still on the same couch in the living room. Its as if he was waiting for me to return, i wanted to wake him to go back to bed but i didn't want to explain the whole situation to him and play 100 questions.

I went back up to my room, nearly tripping over the shoes that was laying on the floor. My room has been a mess the past week, i was supposed to clean it but all this recent events diverted my focus. I made up my mind to clean my room the next day when i got back home from school after training.

And with that, i went to bed, switching off my bed lamp and covering myself with a blanket that was on the floor earlier. Slowly, i started zoning out and before long- my eyes were shut.
