Chapter 14 - The Mall

The waiter arrived soon after with our meals. I ordered the same meal as Momo because i didn't want to order way too much like i usually do. I was eating for two now, and i started getting an appetite.

I dug into my food as soon as it came, and Deku gave me a push here and there when i needed to slow down but i paid no attention. I was starving.

"Yoo Eva-kun, when last did you eat?", Kaminari asked as i swallowed the last bit of food left in my mouth. I didn't answer instead i drank the glass of apple juice next to my plate. "She's been training a lot, and skipping a few meals so i guess she's finally feeling hungry," Momo lied covering for me. Jiro used this opportunity to slip a bunch of chicken nuggets on my plate, and Ochaco gave me a bunch of fries, "Thanks," i laughed and ate. I finally realized why Jiro ordered so much chicken nuggets and forced to sit next to me. Katsuki knew what they were doing and just looked down at his food. I appreciated her and the others so much for all she's done this past month.

After we ate, i got the familiar sense of nausea wash over me. I needed to excuse myself to the bathroom before it was too late. I slipped past Jiro and escaped the booth, as i headed to the bathroom as calm as i possibly could. The bathroom wasn't far and as soon as i got in the bathroom stall, i did my thing and i felt hungry again. I knew i couldn't eat until later on, otherwise I'll just have a repeat of earlier.

I headed back to our booth and I saw the others laughing and tossing fries at one another. A few feet away from the booth, i stopped dead in my tracks. A picture came to my mind, a picture of a house. It was too fast. I couldn't properly visualize it. I brought my hands to the my temple and massaged it, hoping it will come back. After it didn't, i brushed it off as i walked closer to the booth. But a sharp, shooting pain in my head caused me to scream and wince in pain. Shock brace.

Hearing my scream, Katsuki stood up, looking at me as i toppled over with the pain. Jiro and Deku jumped up, but didn't come any closer. Deku knew what was happening and immediately looked around the restuarant in search of any villain. The shock just got worse, i knew Lucy was trying to get me to come to her and i knew this was an emergency since she contacted me while i was with people. The shock came back twice as strong, and i fell to my knees - clutching my head as i pulled my hair, trying to control the pain. She said it was going to hurt, but i didn't expect to to hurt this much. I tried to concentrate, to see the picture but all i could see was Katsuki, his worried eyes searching around, not sure what to do. Tears pooled at the corner of my eyes as i felt scared and useless. I couldn't even visualize this picture.

I felt steady arms wrap around me, Deku and Ochaco. Momo and Jiro followed close behind as Deku and Ochaco guided me out of the restaurant. Jiro used her quirk to see what she could hear, but she just looked at Deku and shook her head, "Someone's coming, but we won't recognize him," she said to the others.

I zoned out and in as they spoke until they approached me. "Eva-kun-," Momo began. "I hear him! Take her away now!," Jiro yelled causing Deku and Ochaco to jump.

Katsuki appeared in front of us, "Hear who?" he asked looking at me, as i was zoning in and out in the arms of Deku and Ochaco. "What happened to her in there?"

Momo went up to him and pushed him, "you don't get to ask questions anymore Bakugo Katsuki. Go and find Ida. Eva-kun needs to get out of here now," Momo ordered. For the first time, Katsuki didn't retaliate. Instead, he looked at me and then at Momo, before walking away to find Ida.

Deku looked at me as he sat me down against a wall. He kneeled on my side as he began to talk. "Close your eyes Eva-kun. Try to remember the last house". I tried to concentrate and shut my eyes. I remember the last house well enough to teleport there. I could get the others there, but not myself as that would take the last of my energy and it wasn't guaranteed that i could teleport myself and them there in one trip without causing harm to either party. I closed me eyes and when i opened them again, the others were gone. Momo, Jiro and Ochaco were all transported there. It was just Deku and I. I knew Deku resisted my transportation. It was the dumb cape of Gran Torino that made Deku and I link. I needed to transport Deku and myself together. I don't know how ol'Lucy pulled it off but that cape has some sort of connection between Deku and i. Deku looked at me as he realised the same thing. I lifted myself up, refusing Deku's help.

We walked back to the restuarant where the rest of the class was supposed to be, but they were all gone. They must've ran out after us. I hoped Katsuki would come back with Ida, but i knew it was too late when i saw a tall man, dressed in a pants and black hoodie, with his sky blue sticking out from the hoodie's cap, that's when i knew. Deku was beside me, looking around the mall to try and find the blond. He wasn't too worried, because he knew i couldn't teleport him away because of the cape.
