Chapter 21 - Blueberries

I woke up to Eri-chan laying next to me in my new bedroom. She still hasn't gotten used to her own room and she always ends up sneaking into my bed when Katsuki leaves for school in the morning.

The past few weeks, Katsuki has let me sleep in as my birthing day drew nearer and nearer. Eri-chan has insisted on keeping me company so I'm not alone, but it's pretty obvious that she wants to come here for the dessert Katsuki spoils her with every evening.

I sat up slowly, and unwrapped her arm around my neck as i covered her with the blanket again. Brushing her hair out of her face, i heard her little snores escaping from her mouth. She was a lot like Katsuki when she slept. I slipped on my shoes and went downstairs slowly, my belly was huge and it was getting in the way now. When i reached the bottom, i saw Mitsuki making breakfast.

"Morning Eva-kun! How did you sleep?," Mitsuki asked from behind the stove. "I slept fine, Eri-chan ended up in my bed somehow. Did you see her?," i asked rubbing my eyes.

"Ah yes dear! She didn't want Katsuki to leave for school this morning and kept hanging onto him," she said laughing. "You should've seen it Eva-kun, you'd surely laugh. She was convinced she wouldn't get dessert if he left," Mr Bakugo laughed from the living room. I didn't even realize he was here until i heard his voice. I laughed as I pictured Eri-chan crying for dessert that early in the morning.

"Did she get any sleep last night?," i asked Mitsuko who shook her head. "No dear, Katsuki put her to bed in his place before he left. Is she sleeping now?," i nodded as i took out some blueberries from the fridge. Katsuki bought a bunch since it was my favorite snack and Eri-chan seemed to be crazy about them too. Between me and her, the blueberries went like crazy. I smiled when i saw a little container in the fridge labelled "Eri-chan's dessert" in Katsuki's handwriting. He was already acting out this whole "dad" situation with Eri and it made me realize what a great father he'll be.

We were only 17 and soon-to-be parents. Katsuki was working his way up the hero list. He was the first one in our class to appear on the hero list. The pregnancy slowed me down from being a part of the hero society for a few months. I couldn't wait to get back in there after this mini me is born.

I had just finished getting dressed in a loose summer dress and white sneakers, when i headed to wake Eri. I let her sleep a little late because she didn't get any sleep last night. She was already wide awake when i got there, sitting on the bed pouting at the cartoon playing.

"Whatcha watching?," i asked leaning close to her as she leaned away from me. She giggled as she nearly fell over from leaning to out. "Come on, let's get you dressed and see what Katsuki left you downstairs."

We headed to her room where i took out a little dress and sneakers for her to where. It was pretty similar to mine since she always wanted to wear the same things i wore. Katsuki laughed the first time when she ran around the house after me to see what i was wearing before she allowed Katsuki to pick out her clothing.

She got dressed and i slipped a little denim jacket over her dress, so that she didn't get too cold. She ran downstairs and i picked her up to put her on the bar stool by the kitchen counter. I went to the fridge and pulled out some blueberries as i threw them on her pancakes. Her eyes glistened as she dug into her breakfast.

Mitsuki was in the garden and Mr Bakugo had already left for work. I was watching Eri-chan eat when i suddenly felt a wet liquid run down my legs. Shock ran over my face as i realized that my water just broke. Eri-chan who saw my shocked expression looked at me with concerned eyes, "Eva-senpai did you want a blueberry as well?," she asked scratching the back of her neck. I laughed at how confused she was and sent her to call Mitsuki. I watched as her little being skipped away to the garden to fetch Mitsuki.

I took out my phone and rang Bakudaddy. The line answered immeadiately:

Baby? Goodmorning shorty!
Katsuki, your child is coming
Eri-chan is awake already? Oh! Oh! OH MY!

I laughed at his reaction.

I'm going to Lucy now baby. Bye
Okay, im on my way. Love you

The line went dead as Mitsuki came with Eri-chan. Eri-chan had her backpack on her back, and i took the dessert out of the fridge and slipped it into her backpack. Katsuki packed a bag for her in case she was here when i went into labour, and now I'm grateful that he did. Mitsuki carried a tog bag with clothes, baby stuff and more. We got into the car and was on the way to Lucy's where i was going to deliver the baby.

When we got there Katsuki was standing on the porch next to Lucy. He ran over when he saw us. He picked up Eri-chan and kissed me on my forehead as he helped me inside. The medical team had a wheelchair waiting for me inside. Megumi and Momo were already there. Little Eri-chan had no idea what was happening, she was just overly happy to see "Aunty Momo and Uncle Megumi" again. It wasn't long before i was in a hospital gown and in the bed with the medical team running tests.
