Chapter VII

Eyes. What could it be about? Am I that blind to see? Should I start to see more? It's morning, and weekend. Still, Tierra has to go to work, so I'll be alone with Adron again. Is he still mad at me? Ok, if someone would say that to me, I would react the same too. But he blamed my family, and he needed a little pay back to understand how it feels to say bad things about people someone had lost. Tierra was in the kitchen and making pancakes, perfect moment to ask her about it.

Tierra: Good morning, sunshine.

Sunshine? She never called me like that.

Lilith: Morning.

Tierra: Did you sleep well?

„Of course she didn't"

Please be kind.

„Come on, she needs to understand that we're not fine since yesterday."

But we are!

„She doesn't needs to know. I want to see her reaction."

Why?

„If she feels sorry, she is weak, but if she says things like: get over it, she's strong."

Why do you need to know this?

I'm just interested.

Lilith: How do you think I slept since yesterday?

Tierra: I don't know, that's why I ask you.

Lilith: You know, I slept very good, after Adron tried to hit me!

Tierra: He's a good husband, Lilith.

Lilith: Nevertheless he is a worse father.

Tierra: He just can't get over Orion.

„That's a reason to hit us? Ask her for how many years she's gone."

Lilith: When did she passed away?

Tierra: Soon 8 years ago.

„Ask about the book."

Lilith: Do we have here a book called „Eyes"?

Tierra: Ummm... yes. Why?

„Good question. What's better, half of the truth or a strange lie?"

Half of the truth, I guess.

„Make your nightmare realistic, alright?"

Lilith: Before my parents passed away, they... they wanted me to find and read the book. It's very important for me, so can I please have it?

Tierra: I don't know where it is, dear. But I can tell you what it is about.

Lilith: Ok.

Tierra: It's a book which explains the human seeing.

Lilith: So exactly what we learn in Physics now?

Tierra: Yes.

Lilith: Oh.

Tierra: I'm sorry, Lilith. I wish I could tell you more but I have to leave. See you at evening. Bye!
Lilith: Have a nice day!

„Don't believe her. She excused herself to hide it, wanna bet?"

Why would she do that?

„Isn't that obvious? She doesn't wants us to find out."

Find out what?

„What's actually written in the book"

I ate the pancakes and went upstairs until I heard her leave.

„I know where it is."

And where?

„Somewhere where we will never get in without a key."

The door is locked?

„Of course it is!"

We have to find the key.

„Only 2 people have access to that room: Tierra and Adron. You know what that means."

We will ask Tierra?

„Nice one. We need Adron, because he doesn't knows that the book is in there."

So what will you do?

„We have to get him mad, and then he will lock us there, because he is too tired of us."
I don't think that that will work.

„Lilith?"

Lilith: Yes?

„Can I become you when Adron comes?"

Lilith: If you want to.

„Thanks."

Ilsen's part (When Adron came home)

Adron: You told her.

Lilith: I had to.

Adron: Why can't you just be quiet?

Lilith: Tell me, what do you have against me, huh?

Adron: Nothing.

Lilith: You sure have, otherwise you wouldn't have attacked me.

Adron: I hate children.

Lilith: Nope, you don't hate me, you're just aggressive because you want to hide your weakness. And you know what? I'm not afraid of you. You can beat me up as much as you want, you can beat me dead, I don't care. You can do whatever you think it's right, but I already contacted someone. One last call and the police will be here, don't worry.

Adron: What do you want?

Lilith: I will be quiet when you will be quiet, deal?

Adron: What do you mean?

Lilith: You can hit me as much you want, I won't tell anyone anything.

Adron: But?

Lilith: You have to give me every single key of this house.

Adron: That's it?

Lilith: And background information. Deal?

Adron: Deal.

Lilith: You may hit me.

He did.

Adron: You're strangely quiet.

Lilith: I'm not getting beaten by first time.

Adron: That one was for yesterday.

Lilith: Now the key and background.

Adron: Ok.

Lilith: I want the key from the shelf in the library.

Adron: Here.

Lilith: And the story of the book called „Eyes".

Adron: I don't know much about that book. Orion wrote this book, and as Tierra found and read it, she knew that Orion was obsessed with demons and the devil. She wanted to burn the book, but it didn't work, strangely. That's why she keeps it in the shelf, in which nobody would be looking for it.

Lilith: Thanks.

I hugged him, then I took his tie and pulled it that hard that he couldn't breathe anymore. Later, I carried him to the kitchen and put his head into a sink full of water until I couldn't see the bubbles of breathing. Question: How can I make it look like he died of natural causes? I carried him to the bedroom, and put many empty wine bottles and some medicine next to him. I found a syringe in one of the beside tables, made the medicine liquid and injected him with it, so the police will find some of it in his blood. A complete win-win situation: Adron is dead and I have the key for the shelf. I have to hide it somewhere, until Tierra will find out.
