Okay guys so I haven't watched or read Harry Potter in a while nor written this story in a while. So wish me luck! I need to try to have those Britishy words in my writing again which will be tough 😰.
As I ran back to the castle I had a wide smile on my face. Though I was embarrassed I still felt like I had butterflies in my stomach, I wonder why? I stopped jogging once I heard my name being called.
"Alice!" Oliver called, I turned his direction and ran over to him
"Yes Ollie?"
"I haven't seen you in ages it feels like!" He hugged me
"It has been a while hasn't it?" I chuckled and hugged him back
"It certainly has! So are you going to come to practice tomorrow? Or are you not going to do quidditch this year?" He asked
"I don't think I'll be doing quidditch this year." I shrugged
"What why?!"
"Studies and after classes me and the girls have plans to do awesome pranks." I grinned
"Well that's alright. As long as you let me in on some of your pranks." He winked
"I will don't worry Ollie! Well I have to get going, cya!" I waved to him as I ran off. I gotta go tell my friends the interaction I just had with Remus. Or maybe not?
"Alice where were you?" Natalie frantically asked when I got back to the common room
"Sorry! I was talking to professor Lupin then Oliver and that just took a while." I apologized
"It's alright. Now let's go back to the dorm. I have to write my potions essay." Sylvia ran up to the girls dormitory and we followed behind her.Once we got to the room I jumped and landed on my bed and sighed.
3rd person point of view
"Alice you alright?" Maddie came over and sat on the side of Alices' mattress
"Yeah just a hard day." Alice replied
"Well then get up! Work on your homework!" Natalie pushed Alice off of her bed
"Jeez Natalie calm down!" Alice laughed as she stood up
"I hate that we have homework on the first day." Sylvia rolled her eyes
"I despise school just for that reason. Snape is the only one we have to do homework for today! He is a big nosed fool." Sylvia shook her head as the other girls laughed. After 3 hours of writing their essay they finally all finished and that included multiple snack and talking breaks.
"Im tired." Natalie sighed
"So am I. What's the time?" Alice asked
"6:45 PM. Dinner is soon, should we go to the great hall early?" Natalie answered
"Yes! I want to see if Dumbledore will let us sit with the teachers again. Remember when we did that once every week last year?" Alice jumped up
"I agree. But remember the rude remarks Snape used to give us? I think he was a little nicer at dinner though since it was the end of the day and he was eating." Maddie said
"Yeah let's ask! I like to sit with the teachers." Sylvia grinned.
Alice's point of view
As we ran down to the great hall I was a bit nervous to see Remus. I still hoped we could sit with the teachers though, I miss those conversations with Minnie and Hagrid. Once we reached the great hall we arrived exactly 8 minutes before all of the students began to enter since we ran.
"Girls you're here early." Dumbledore smiled
"We were wondering if we could sit at the professors table like we did last year headmaster!" I grinned
"Of course! We still have 4 chairs here saved just for you." He laughed
"Oh Albus don't let them sit here." Snape said in a low voice
"Come on Severus. They keep things fun and bright." Dumbledore replied
Of course I got a seat right next to Professor Lupin. I wasn't too sad though, maybe a little happy.
"So you guys used to sit up here last year?" Lupin asked
"Yes, once a week actually." I smiled
"I see." The conversation was mild due to the lack of people in the room with calm atmosphere.
"So how was your first day as a defense against the dark arts professor?" I questioned
"It was fun. I actually really enjoyed it!" He chuckled "Feels odd being the one teaching. And everything in the school looks the same, brings back many memories."
"I'm glad. My first last day of hogwarts was pretty usual. Didn't feel too different." I shrugged (did i say what year the girls were in already? If I did please let me know since i'm making them seventh years now but can't remember if I said something else year on in the story."
After that the students all started to fill the hall.
