*Arrested

Jj: Keira I-

K: I gotta go home, I need to fix some things

Jj: I'm sorry

K: you have nothing to be sorry about, I just gotta run. I'll be back tomorrow okay

Jj: but-

I kiss his cheek and whisper.

K: you already make me happy.

He smiled a little as I ran off.

When I got home I see my mom and dad in the kitchen.

D: honey!

K: erm hey

M: your back?

K: yeah I can't find a dress for midsummer-

M: I'm on it

K: thanks

My dad walks over to me.

D: you okay?

K: I'm sorry for leaving you

D: you were hurting.

K: I'll get there, I just need a break

D: I'm here when you need, I promise.

K: I know

D: now at least tell me where your staying so I know your safe.

K: I'm staying at John b's

D: I can't talk you out of it so that's as safe as your gonna get with the pogues, I'll see you soon, love you beautiful.

K: love you dad. Erm can I sleep here tonight.

D: this is still your home, come home anytime.

K: thanks dad

I run upstairs and sort out a dress for midsummers, then call Kiara to check on Pope and JJ, after that I finally get some sleep.

*Next morning

I walk downstairs the next morning to leave but suddenly I see my mom and Topper with Sheriff Shoupe. I over hear their convocation.

T: told you I didn't do it mom!

S: now he's 16 this could be charge with money or harsh juvie, but he's only a kid

M: press charges

I look at toppers face and he looks like he's sorry. No they can't press charges on Pope he hasn't got the money for that, and his scholarship he can't have this on his record.

*Pogues pov

We're all down at Hayward's waiting for Keira to meet up for late lunch. This was all until the cops show up.

H: hey pope someone here to see you

P: erm evening officer

Sh: arrest warrant for felonies and destruction of property. Keep your hands on the counter where I can see them.

H: woah woah woah wait sherif what did he do?

Sh: take a look at the warrant

Ki: so your arresting him?

H: can't just arrest my boy!

Ki: you can't do that.

Sh: anything you say can and will be held against you in the court of law.

Jj: how much did they pay you man?

Ki: you can't do this

Pope gets taken outside. And everyone is screaming to stop this until JJ shouts.

Jj: it wasn't him! It was me. See he tried to talk me out of it, but I was mad because he had just been beat up by those assholes, I'm sick of it. And I lost my shit. I can't let you take the blame for something I did, you got too much to lose.

P: jj what are you doing?

Jj: I'm telling the truth, for once in my god damn life I'm telling the truth. I took his old mans boat too.

H: what the hell

P: jj come on

Jj: just shut up Pope! He's a good kid, you know where I'm from.

Sh: yeah

Jj: it was all me

Sh: this all true

Jj: whole truth swear to god

Sh: I'm not asking you dammit I'm asking Pope here

P: that about covers it

Pope gets unhand-cuffed and they get locked right onto JJ. He gets taken away in the cop car.

P: shit

H: Pope, Pope!

*Keiras pov

I was about to go meet the pogues when I get a phone call of kie.

Ki: he's been arrested

K: huh

Ki: the cops came and took him!

K: who Pope?

Ki: no! They were gonna take pope but JJ stepped in!

K: wait-

Ki: they arrested JJ.

My heart dropped, I can't lose him, he's all I have left. I hung up the phone and run over to my dads office, me and topper have never been aloud in here but I burst through the door.

D: Keira!

K: dad I need your help!

D: what's going on sweetie?

K: you know how yesterday you said if I still need anything-

D: I'll be there, yeah of course

K: I need some money.
