Chapter 3

2 months later, already her stomach was getting bigger. As now she feels pain, but no movement. Sophie was looking pale and tired. Still tries to smile around Howl so he doesn't get worried about her. By this time she was in bed because that was the comfiest thing in the house.
"Sophie....." Howl said from a far distance outside of the bedroom. "Yes, Howl?" What do you want?" She said as Howl comes into the bedroom. "Can I ask you something? I've been having this on my mind for a while now" he said being a shy. "Ask away it's not like I have anything else to do right now, " Sophie said but then bites her bottom lip in pain as another shot of pain comes from her stomach.
"Do you think I will be a good father?" Howl said. Sophie looks at Howl like why would he ask a question like that, but then smiles as she understood Howl's fear because she could be asking the same question herself. "Howl." As she grabs his hand to give him comfort. " I think you will be a great father Howl. Your nice, caring and sweet." She said to him "also a drama queen." She thought to herself. Howl blushes by her comment and smiles. " Well thank you, my dear, I think you will be a fabulous mother too." He said with a big grin on his face on his face.

As he grinned Sophie felt the baby move in her stomach, which she have never felt before. Her face was in shock as she put her hand in her stomach. "Oh my goodness! Howl the baby just moved!" she said in excitement. "May I," he said with a smile. She slightly nods yes. Then he puts his hand on her stomach. At first had a confused look on his face, which she kinda was worried about.
"Well I feel a lot of magical pressure from the baby, but nothing else," Howl said with a half smile-half frown look on his face.

Then all of a sudden the floor started to shake. Howl moved closer to Sophie to protect her. Then the room got darker and darker. Howl knew this wasn't Calsifer's doing. From a distance, they both saw a figure standing. After the figure came closer they could see more detail. It was Mme. Suliman with her poofy white hair."Congratz to both of you" she said. "What do you want Suliman?" Howl said in a tense voice. She gave a little smile as he said that. "Oh, nothing I just wanted to congratulate you on your unborn child. But I will warn you some people will not agree with your child possessing magical powers." Sophie began to be scared by this Mme.Suliman's statement. Her just imagining the idea, she didn't want anything bad to happen to the baby. She just wanted to have a normal family life. But she knew that this family wasn't normal at all, they were just different.

Howl then turn to Sophie and saw her scared look expression. " I think I will leave you guys at that" Mme Suliman said in the background. Then the blackness started to disappear as she left. Howl was still looking at Sophie not really know what to say at the time. "Sophie are you alright?" he said waiting for her to reply. Sophie finally looked at Howl with one tear going down her face. "Yeah, I'm fine. I'm just worried that's all."

"Well you shouldn't be worried. Nothing bad is going to happen to you or the baby. I will protect you and the baby no matter what happens." Howl said with a smile to make Sophie feel better. Sophie nodded in agreement and hugged him. Then they hear a little knock on the door. "May I come in? Markl said softly. "Yes Markl you can come in." Howl said. Markl opened the door carefully.

"I heard alot of noise from downstairs. So I wanted to check if everything was alright."

"Yeah everything is fine Markl. Someone just came to visit." Howl said as he was giving a indication to Markl that Mme Sulaman. "Oh wait b-but how did she find us? Shouldn't we move the castle again?" Markl said surprised. Sophie now got curious on what Howl would say. He thought for a bit then said "no I don't think that will be necessary right now. If she comes at us then we will leave. We can't afford to have any choas right now. Sophie was a bit surpised by his comment but also she was relieved. She knew that she was in good hands.
