Jennie's pov:

It was finally Friday and school.. actually went by quick.

It might have actually been the best school day of the week.

No drama for me at least.

Which made me think that the school was going through an alien invasion because high school is NEVER suppose to go by that quick.

As I sit on the bus waiting for kids to get on to go home, I feel my phone buzz in my pocket.

Huh, that's strange. I normally never get text messages from people.

Wow, that sentence really described how lonely and unpopular I am.

Well, if you can't be popular, then I always say.. be the potato you are meant to be. Wait I actually never say that.

But I think I should start.

I'll inspire others to be potatoes too.

...

How did I get so off topic?

I look at the text message to see it was from an unknown number.

Great, it was probably a mistake.

To think I had a one second chance of glory.

But after reading over the text message, I knew that cocky remark oh too well.

Not going to be on bus, going to be at practice. Don't miss my handsome face too much, if you really want a picture, I'll be glad to add you to my fan girl group chat.

If Lisa was here right now, I would shoot daggers into her soul.

I change the name of the contact name to Lisa Poo.

I actually like the name Suzy calls her.

Plus, I need blackmail.

But how in the world did she even get my phone?

The only time I set it down was at ..

Lunch.

Lisa sits right next to me.

I am an idiot.

I scroll down my phone to see some of the text messages from a week ago.

Huh, Rośe has texted.

Rośe has sent a couple of text messages actually.

Wait, Rośe has sent me A LOT of text messages.

She is going to kill me at school on Monday.

How did I not see those?

Wait, I put her contact on silent.

It's actually a really bad habit I have, I put people on silent for no reason at all.

Except my mom, her ringtone is the alarm.

It has to be loud, very loud.

Because everyone knows that an angry mom is way more scarier than an angry dad.

As the bus starts to move, I stare out the window and I just think.

You know when your brain is like, "hey! Let's make your life miserable and make you stress about things you really shouldn't worry about." Well, my brain is having one of those moments.

I wonder if Suzy told Lisa I like her.

I mean, I don't even know how in the world she figured out in the first place.

I thought I was good at keeping secrets.

...

Wait never mind, I'm actually horrible at keeping secrets.

But still, Lisa has girls literally begging for her attention.

She is probably so caught up in them that she probably doesn't even know.

I mean, I'm kinda glad she doesn't know.

Then things wouldn't be awkward between us.. right?

I then think back to yesterday.

Man who knew this bus ride would be me thinking about all the things that have been happening.

Talk about self reflection.

Krystal wasn't at school today. Could she be sick?

Morning sickness?

But she isn't far along.

I mean, she doesn't even have the baby bump yet.

Though, I'm pretty sure we are going to be seeing her in sweatshirts for the next nine months.

Unless she moves.

I wonder what she is going to do with the baby.

I mean, do her parents know?

Will she keep it?

I step off the bus at my stop and walk the rest of the way to my house.

When I open up the door, I see both my parents sitting around the table.

My dad cooking something and my mom doing the bills.

"Hey honey how was your day?" My mom asks while looking up.

I smile at her as I sling my book bag off my back, "pretty good." I say and head to my bedroom.

"Oh wait, Jennie!!" My mom says chasing me up the stairs.

"Yes?" I say turning around to face her.

"We got invited to the Manoban's house along with two other families for dinner. The parents of the families are both friends from work and I think it would be nice for us to meet some people other than the ones next door." My moms says.

"You mean you and dad need to meet new people." I say laughing.

"Yes." My mom says smiling back. She then starts to walk down the stairs but I stop her before she can reach the last step.

"If you don't mind me asking, who are these two families?" I ask her.

"Oh, I believe they both have daughters that go to your school, I believe seniors, one's name is Nancy, and the other Krystal."

How is that possible??

...

To get two people who hate each other's guts coming to this dinner??

You have got to be kidding me.
