The Calling of the Memories

On that day...

After that touching moment that I had while cuddling my sister after the movie ended, there I go, just like a child I requested my mom If I can use the yard, a medium-sized table, and the plastic tablecloth with grey checker patterns that I like a lot to put there my stuff to sell it for the next two days. This Thursday afternoon I  will start to clean and repair the toys and stuff that I'm gonna sell. I'm gonna give to my sis my cat piano. I grabbed two, wait no, three cardboard boxes that I've found in the basement, with a red permanent marker I wrote ''Stuff 2 sell'', ''stuff 2 keep'', and ''stuff 2 give''. I suddenly remembered that I have to clean and tidy up my bedroom, do the dishes and other chores, and not forgetting to clean the yard before the sale to wait so long in the burning summer sun waiting If a kid wants to buy a toy.

 So much stuff to do! So I started to wash the dishes full of nasty food leftovers, then clean the floor, of course I told my sister to do not run on the floor or she will slip and fall. Did the bed and tidy up whole my bedroom, finally, the house is totally clean!! I took a warm shower before getting on my bed. Then I think about that I forgot about the toys boxes. I continued to clean and repair the toys I'm gonna sell. 

After doing my tasks I lay in my bed, but just right before my eyelids closed some noises woke me up coming from the boxes, while walking barefoot to the source of the sound I found out it was my sister inspecting my toys.  I walked slowly towards her and gave her a hug bear.

-'' Stop in the name of the law, toy thief! You've been arrested by the tickle officer!'' I said as I tickled and hugged Aline while spinning. Aline giggled in a squeaky laugh.

-'' Tell me what you were doing with my boxes?'' I asked with the calmest noise to my sister to not make her feel afraid.

She showed me Pegg, the pink pig.

- ''You're going to get rid of Pegg?''  My sister said with a sad tone. I remember that Pegg was one of the toys I used to play with it when I was a toddler. That stuffed animal has colorful patches on its legs and back. My favorite patch was the blue striped one on its right front leg.

-'' Aline, you can keep some toys if you want! you can keep Pegg.'' I was so afraid that If I tell her that I'm going to sell them, she might cry for the memories we had together playing and laughing that they are going to fade away. So it's better to hush the secret for now.

-'' Please choose the toys you most want.'' I said a bit nervous. 

She took my wooden brown wind-up train, my plush white rooster, and my dark orange rubber ball. She went to her room cuddling the toys. 

-'' thanks brother, love ya!'' said cheerfully the young girl as she closed her room door.

The next morning...

I woke up early to set up my yard sale, I sold some of the toys like my worm train, my super boy cloudy the sheep (I had two plush of cloudy the sheep by the way) and my Rubix cube to fill my wallet, goodbye good memories, thanks for being there when I needed you... The day I passed sitting on a wooden apple box, fortunately, I raised half a glass jar, ya know the phrase: ''glass half empty, glass half full''? Not totally full but better than empty.

 Almost night, when I was cleaning I saw that a moving truck came, two women are unloading boxes and furniture, who just came to the town? Mom soon will call me for dinner and I don't want her to see the money jar that I've just raised today and snatch the work I've done, tomorrow I will find it out. 

While my sister and my mom were busy and not watching me, like a ninja I ran to my room and hid the money jar in my secret place, I hid it under the bed very inside, I really hope mom or my sister found my secret place.

In the next morning...I woke up by the loud noises of the drill and the whamming of the hammer next to my house, with my messy hair, puffy eyes and on barefoot I approached like a zombie to the window and opened the curtains a bit, some men were repairing the house where the new neighbor just arrived yesterday when my yard sale ended at the daybreak. Then I saw someone coming out of the house...who is...The girl that I've seen in my dreams?!!

Oh no,no,no,no,no,NO!! This can't be happening so soon! The girl that comes out is exactly like in my dreams, dark straight hair with a straight fringe and these slanted eyes...

I couldn't believe that day could come so soon! I didn't even sell some more toys to gain more money, just half of the jar! Okay, I must be calm, after she goes back inside the house, I will run to the supermarket to buy some stuff to look better. 

Took a bath to relax, brushed my hair and teeth, washed my face, dressed up in my best clothes, and I just flashed out of my room but my mom stopped me

-'' Oh hello Olek! Good morning!''

-'' Good morning mom! I need to go-''

-'' wait, Olek, let's say hello to the new neighbors! Don't be such a rude boy!''

I sigh, fortunately, I got clean and dressed correctly in time to give a good impression to the girl, I'm feeling these bugs on my stomach and sure they are moths.

Quickly sprayed on myself my favorite childhood cologne that since I was a kid made me feel calm, I used to spray a lot when I got exams. Forest breeze scented calm...

Once the morning sun shines upon me and my family, I went confident and nervous to the house.

My mom presented to a middle-aged woman that I think is her mom to me and my sister.

-'' Aw! What a nice boy you got my dear!'' Said the woman squishing my cheeks like if I were a newborn baby, my face got slightly red by the embarrassment, way it reminded me of my auntie when I was a little boy.

-'' you like that girl!'' My sister whispering to me mockingly.

-'' How can I like someone...who I don't know...''

Then she appeared to her...man so soon this happened.

After got deaf for a moment I heard that my mother will invite them to my house for a welcome dinner...

Oh... my goodness...
