Tanjiro was outside, watching Takeo practice, when he saw a man walking up, wind chimes on his hat. "Hello. My name is Haganezuka. I am the wordsmith assigned to both Tanjiro and Takeo Kamado," The man said.
I hate this part of the intro but to you who KNOW the story, it's basically the same as canon.
"CAW CAW! TANJIRO KAMADO! GO TO THE TOWN IN THE NORTHEAST! YOUNG GIRLS OF SIXTEEN ARE DISAPPEARING EVERY NIGHT! TAKEO KAMADO! YOU GO TO!" The obnoxious and talking crow cawed loudly. Tanjiro and Takeo both nodded. They pulled out their Nichirin Katanas, but they forgot about Haganezuka, who was still waiting for them to unsheath their katanas. Takeo unsheathed his sword, revealing a beautiful grayish-teal color. "Water," Urokodaki said. But then the back half of his blade, which was gray, turned crimson. The center of the blade where the blue and red met turned purple. Tanjiro's blade was unique though. His was a rare shade of black and red. He had a bright crimson red wrapping around the jet black of his blade. The words "Dakuburedo" were engraved on the blade. "Interesting," Haganezuka and Urokodaki said at the same time. The two blades were rare. Takeo was suited to make his own but Tanjiro's blade was unknown. Takeo's eyes lit up when Urokodaki told him that he was supposed to make his own breathing technique. "That's right! I did! I call it time breathing since it feels like time slows around me when I use it!" Takeo exclaimed, his childishness returning. "Well since you have a mission, you can test it," Tanjiro said. "I only have three forms so far," Takeo muttered. Tanjiro smiled kindly. "Don't worry. You can test it! I'll be there to help!" He exclaimed.
Well you two need to get going," Urokodaki said. The two picked up Nezuko, who was inside her new box that Urokodaki made, before setting off.The two arrived in town, listening for the gossip that might help them. "Poor Kazumi, after Satoko disappeared while he was with her, he's looked so haggard," A woman whispered while looking in the direction of a boy who looked tired. "EXCUSE ME! KAZUMI! CAN YOU SHOW ME WHERE SATOKO DISAPPEARED!" Tanjiro yelled. The boy looked up in surprise.
"This is the spot she disappeared," Kazumi said, kneeling next to a spot at a corner point of two intersecting walls. Tanjiro knelt down. "I got the scent! Wait, something's happening! Takeo, follow me! We can get the demons!" Tanjiro yelled. The two started running through streets until they realized foot traffic was slowing them down. "JUMP!" Tanjiro yelled. The two jumped on the roof. 'The story of demon slayers! They're true!' Kazumi thought. He then rushed to follow them.
Tanjiro and Takeo landed in a little space where no one was passing. Takeo's sixth sense and Tanjiro's smell felt the demons underneath. The two stabbed downward, revealing a bog. A girl emerged, as well as ten hands In this there are five demons instead of three for the story's sake. all trying to drag her back down. Tanjiro grabbed her quickly and put her with Takeo. He also set down the box. Suddenly, five demons emerged from the bog. "STOP! THEY GET OLD AND TASTE BAD IF THEY GET OLDER!" A more aggressive version of the demon said. Takeo realized they all looked and felt the same according to his sixth sense. "There's always tomorrow," A more level-headed demon said. Suddenly, they noticed a faint sheen. Tanjiro and Takeo had unsheathed their swords. Two demons sunk into the ground. Three more stayed. There were two who seemed to not have emotion but react on instinct. The level-headed one stayed with them. Tanjiro followed them into the bog. The two were angry ones. "LET'S SHRED 'EM!" All five demons yelled at the same time. They all charged at once.
This Will Be From Takeo's Side for His fight because of obvious reasons
Takeo closed his eyes. He extended his danger sense and inhaled quickly and sharply through his teeth and his nose. His senses opened and time seemingly slowed, the three demons coming at him slowly. "Total concentration, time breathing, first form, scatter flash slash!" Takeo yelled. He seemingly flickered from his spot and reappeared, slicing off the demons' arms. He also cut off one of the instinctive demons' heads. The head fell with a thud. The demons' arms instantly regenerated. The two demons jumped at Takeo from both sides. "Time breathing, second form, delayed slash," Takeo muttered. He slashed at one of the demons, slicing the demon. It seemed like the sword passed through, causing the demon to smirk. "Ha! His sword just went through m-" before the demon could finish, his head fell off. "Time breathing, third form, rivers of time," Takeo said. He moved like a river, smoothly and quickly. He also sliced off the demon's head in one clean cut. Rivers of time is a move where you run forward and slice at your opponent. "Our job is done," Tanjiro said as he emerged from the bog.
Time Rewind a bit and Tanjiro's point of view
Tanjiro pulled out his sword and two demons moved like jets. "Hinokami Kagura, horizontal burning bones summer sun!" Tanjiro yelled. He twisted his sword and defended from the demons before he pulled back his sword. "Water breathing, sixth form, whirlpool!" Tanjiro yelled. The mountain he trained on with his brother had thinner air than the bog. He swirled and the demons were both ripped to pieces. "Crap, I need to get out. The air in here is running out," Tanjiro said as he swam up. He saw the demons slowly crumbling to ashes. "Our job is done," Tanjiro told Takeo. "Was the breathing style good enough?" Tanjiro asked. Takeo nodded. "That's great! Now let's get going," Tanjiro said. Takeo knew what Tanjiro meant; a new mission could come at any moment and if they weren't prepared, people could actually die. Here is exactly 1k words. Story continues below.
"CAW! TAKEO AND TANJIRO KAMADO ARE TO GO TO ASAKUSA, TOKYO, FOR YOUR NEXT ASSIGNMENT. CAW CAW(S)," The crow cried before flying away. Takeo and Tanjiro sighed. This was going to be a long night.
