Tanjiro panted as he continued running around the flame mansion. Eventually, he collapsed onto the ground, out of breath as Rengoku stopped just beside him, finishing their run. Rengoku was panting heavily. He made Tanjiro run with him consistently every day to keep up with Rengoku. The group finally caught up behind them, as they were unallowed to use breathing to train their base muscular strength, as well as their pain tolerance, due to the burning of their lungs being unavoidable but their tolerance could be trained. The group all collapsed in pain while Rengoku chuckled loudly, making the group look at him like he was crazy. He then got up. "Fifteen minutes, then we go to sparring!" Rengoku exclaimed, running off.

It had been a month since the second day of the training process. As of that moment, the group was celebrating at a restaurant. It was a simply barbeque place and it didn't look great at first. However, the food smelled and tasted better than any five-star place could produce. Suddenly, a loud growl ripped through the air like a hot knife through butter, shattering the peace of the restaurant. Someone stood up. The figure wore a black cloak and a black hood. It also wielded a long scythe that somehow had the capability to fold itself into a strange type of curved blade by readjusting the hilt of the scythe and moving the blade of the scythe to be a sword. "Ash breathing, first form, ashes of dawn," the mysterious figure whispered before vanishing, a small veil of ashes following the figure's wake as money was left on the table. "Thanks, Old Man!" The figure yelled back, leaving the restaurant, the crumbled pieces of a demon behind fluttering, the figure's sword morphing back to a scythe as the figure strapped it to its back. "WOAH! THAT GUY WAS SO COOL! I COULDN'T SEE HIM MOVE, EVEN WITH MY PERCEPTION ABILITY!" Takeo exclaimed, making Rengoku look in surprise while Tanjiro chuckled. "I saw him perfectly. I'm sure Rengoku did after I taught him the breathing method, right?" Tanjiro asked, making Rengoku nod. "He was incredibly fast, even with the perception-slowing method. Maybe we should ask him if he'd train you, Takeo! He also used a scythe!" Rengoku exclaimed.

The group all ran out, chasing after the hooded figure. The figure wore a hood, preventing whatever face that was under the hood to be there. A long scythe was strapped across the figure's back, along with two pauldrons. The figure wore a pair of large metal boots that stretched to the figure's shins, along with a mask hiding the face of the person in question, blacked-out slits in the front to allow ventilation with two shaded lenses for eye-holes. "Hey! Can we talk to you!" Takeo yelled.

Male Perspective

"Oh,  can I help you?" a deep voice spoke. "Yeah! I wanted to ask for help wielding my scythe!" Takeo exclaimed, making Tanjiro grunt in annoyance. "Sorry. He means that in a polite way," Tanjiro said, making the figure chuckle. "Oh! No worry at all!" The voice of a now-confirmed male spoke. He then sighed. "Say, kid. How about I guide you to my sensei. He's a good guy, even if he comes off as a big drinker or, if you prefer it, an alcoholic. Go to "House Branwen" five miles up from here. Can't miss it. The guy's good and I live at his place too, renting a room obviously. By the way, the name's Y/n. Y/n L/n," Y/n spoke before waving his hand, gesturing to the direction the group needed to travel before walking off. He needed to take some time to work on something.

It had been the entire day and the group finally found the house, Rengoku having left earlier to deal with some Hashira business. "Finally!" Takeo exclaimed. A man was in the front, wearing a black cloak that billowed in the wind. He was leaning on his scythe, staring at the group. "Wondered when you'd come," the figure spoke. Zenitsu recognized the voice immediately. "Oh hey, you're Y/n," he said, making Y/n nod. "Now come on, let's go inside," Y/n told them.

Female Perspective

"Oh, can I help you?" a lighter, more feminine voice spoke. "Yeah! I wanted to ask for help wielding my scythe!" Takeo exclaimed, making Tanjiro grunt in annoyance. "Sorry. He means that in a polite way," Tanjiro said, making the figure chuckle. "Oh! No worry at all!" The voice of a now-confirmed female spoke. She then sighed. "Say, kiddo. How about I guide you to my teacher. He's a cool guy, even if he comes off as a big drinker or, if you prefer it, an alcoholic. Go to "House Branwen" five miles up from here. Can't miss it. The guy's good and I live at his place too, renting a room obviously. By the way, the name's Y/n. Y/n L/n," Y/n spoke before waving her hand, gesturing to the direction the group needed to travel before walking off. She needed to take some time to work on something.

It had been the entire day and the group finally found the house, Rengoku having left earlier to deal with some Hashira business. "Finally!" Takeo exclaimed. A woman was in the front, wearing a black cloak that billowed in the wind. She was leaning on her scythe, staring at the group. She had soft e/c eyes, shoulder-length h/c hair that faded to a crimson color, and pale skin. "Wondered when you'd come," the figure spoke. Zenitsu recognized the voice immediately. "Oh hey, you're Y/n," he said, making Y/n nod. "Now come on, let's go inside," Y/n told them, ignoring the blond boy's constant flirting.

After bidding farewell, Y/n left the group with Qrow Branwen. Qrow Branwen was one of the only scythe users to exist, being the best one in the world. He wielded a large scythe with strange segments on his blade, allowing it to turn into a large broadsword that could fold with the use of two strings to reveal a shotgun. He currently sat in front of the group, taking a large swig from a flask. "What're you kids doing here?" He drawled drunkenly, slicking back his black hair. "Y/n sent Takeo to train under you," Tanjiro responded. "Y/n, huh. Good kid. Fine," Qrow spoke before standing up. "But don't think I'll go easy on you, kid," Qrow said. Takeo nodded and Tanjiro, along with Inosuke and Zenitsu, left. "So... five months to train. Come pick him up then," Qrow told Tanjiro as he left, garnering a nod.

"So... do you think Takeo will be alright?" Zenitsu asked, making Y/n chuckle as the group passed by. "No," Y/n said before leaving. "Man, Y/n's so cool!" Inosuke exclaimed, making Y/n laugh. "I CAN STILL HEAR YOU!" Y/n yelled before fully disappearing, making Inosuke growl. "GRRR!" Inosuke growled. "Relax, Inosuke! I'm sure Y/n meant nothing by it," Tanjiro reassured. Inosuke calmed down but was still moderately angry. "Well, let's head back to Rengoku's house."

Time Skip Five Months

Takeo had just arrived at the fire Mansion, knocking on the door. He had a new katana with a thicker hilt that could extend into a shaft, giving him a katana-scythe hybrid. When he thanked Qrow as he left, Qrow told him not to worry about it. "TAKEO!" Tanjiro yelled, hugging his brother. "Hey, Tanjiro!" Takeo exclaimed with a smile. "TAKIS!" Inosuke called. "IT'S TAKEO!" Takeo yelled back, a small tick mark forming on his forehead. "Hey, Takeo!" Zenitsu said with a grin as the group hugged. "CAW! DO AS YOU PLEASE FOR A BIT! CAW!" A crow cried out as it landed on Tanjiro's shoulder. "Should we visit the butterfly mansion?" Tanjiro asked. The group nodded. "BIG BROTHER RENGOKU! WE'RE HEADED TO THE BUTTERFLY MANSION!" Tanjiro yelled. "HAVE FUN!" Rengoku yelled back. "WE WILL!" Takeo yelled, only to be tackled instantly. "SO, TAKEO! WE HAVE MUCH TO DISCUSS!" Rengoku exclaimed passionately. Takeo chuckled and explained his training, which was slightly more vigorous than Zenitsu, Inosuke, and Tanjiro's, so his body was well-trained. "Well, I have my duties to attend to now! Go have fun at the butterfly mansion!" Rengoku exclaimed before dashing away, a small trail of fire in his wake. "Woooaaahh..." Takeo muttered, seeing the fires slowly extinguish themselves.
