nine ! relay-zation

It was now 4 30 p.m, about time the relay race preliminaries started

"first and third runner to the right, second and last to the left" a tall figure yelled with a bunch of papers on his hand

"let's go tae" chaeyoung reminded

The two, taehyung and chaeyoung went ahead to the left side of the track, chaeyoung will be running on the track earlier and as she runs, taehyung will be replacing her place waiting for the baton from the third runner to get into his hands

"chaeyoung, do you feel any discomfort anywhere?" taehyung asked

"nope, not a pain anywhere" she smiled, replying back

"okay onto the track people" a man said, raising a red flag and as all the second runners took their place, he raised a white flag

The squad from Sky High is all on lane 3, although starting the third runner they could freely change lanes, it was quite a good lane to be at

A few second next, all parts of the track was raising a white flag, signalling every runners are ready to go

"on your marks, get set,
GO!" the starting gun was shot as the first runners started their race

Jungkook was leading from the front, a guy was right on his tail but he managed to widen the gap even more

Anytime soon, he will be passing the baton to chaeyoung and she's already getting into her position

And after almost a minute, jungkook was now already so near to chaeyoung, he signalled 'go' to her and chaeyoung started moving slowly, her arms out waiting for the baton

And as the first team, jungkook successfully passed the baton to chaeyoung as she continued the team as the lead, she was racing with all man as the rest of the girls were either first or third runners

The cheers for every team got louder as time passes, and as fast as a lightning, chaeyoung already started to signal jimin 'go', he was contemplating whether or not to start jogging sideways first but the look on chaeyoung looked so sure and confident

He started his jog and chae caught up to him and passed the baton from her hand, at this point, as soon as jimin received the baton, one team already passed him, losing their spot as the leading team, jimin tried his best to stabilize and sprint

Taehyung was already ready in his position, his eyes worried as another team was leading

"JIMIN FASTEN YOUR PACE!! SPRINT NOW!! " he yelled from his spot

Jimin did as he was told, sprinting like hell and caught up on the lead's tail but it was expected the other team would get the baton first

"IM SORRRRYY!! " jimin yelled as he passed on the baton to their last runner, taehyung
The gap between them and one team wasn't that big, but the upcoming results? No one had a clue

Proud with his team possible win, the last runner from the leading team slowed his pace, not knowing a monster was chasing him from behind

And just like that, taehyung passed him and took back as the leading team, he could see how enthusiastic chaeyoung was at the side of the track

He continued sprinting until the finish line, it was then confirmed they will be moving to the next round

"KIM TAEHYUNG! KIM TAEHYUNG.." the crowd cheered for taehyung as soon as he finished

He walked to where the others were at, he saw namjoon on a call, probably asking for a confirmation, yoongi on his phone, jin managing some interviewers from multiple places, jimin looking dissapointed of his performance and surprisingly, he was unconsciously looking for chaeyoung who would usually come running to him

Then he saw her sitting with j-hope, gritting her teeth like hell trying hard not to move her feet while hoseok was trying to calm her down

"you got hurt? " tae asked, worried maybe for his teammate

"no, just a OUCH a cramp" she painfully smiled

Taehyung laughed at her horrible act and got on his knees, his hands on her legs moving it around

"OUCH MAN THAT SHIT HURTS" she complained

"oh please, im trying to help here"

He continued moving her feet, or so he called massaging

A few minutes later, the in-pain chaeyoung was gone, she was moving her legs freely and stopped her nagging

"wah, you're a magical worker man" she joked

Taehyung didn't reply, he rolled his eyes and went with his own business

"okay everyone, we're confirmed to move to the next round a few days later, do you guys want to go out anywhere? Eat or anything?" namjoon asked while he's still writing something on an important looking document

"that sounds good, and plus somebody got a LOT to explain" j-hope smirked, looking at chaeyoung who replied with sticking out her tongue

"okay hop on the car everyone,"

Fast forward to a restaurant at a shopping mall

All eight of them walked together in a group, well technically three groups, namjoon jin yoongi, and j-hope jimin, and finally the other three jungkook, chaeyoung taehyung was yet again together

"yo tae, are you actually not going to date chaeng? " jungkook asked jokingly while smiling at the sight of chaeyoung furrowed eyebrows

"no, i have no intention in dating her, so if you two could just stop clinging on me, fuck off" he replied back

"wah how could you, HOSEOK OPPA! MY HEART IS SHATTERED!" chaeyoung jokingly acted dramatic, but who knows if she actually means it

As she ran to j-hope and jimin and slid in between the two, jungkook continued walking with taehyung

"you know, i know i don't have the rights to say this, especially when my relationships usually fail too..

Before jungkook finished what he had to say, he took a look at chaeyoung who took out her phone and took a selfie with both hoseok and jimin

...but i really think she's the one for you man, she takes care of you, she genuinely cares" jungkook said

"if the perfect someone is any girl who takes care of me, i would've found the one a long time ago, jk" he answered

"but she's not just any girl is she? you didn't push her away, you even grew more comfortable with her, it's about time you realize it, but it's really up to you, but if it were me, i would make sure she doesn't show that contagious smile of hers to just anyone and i would make sure i don't lose her, she's someone special to all of us, even to you" jungkook ended

He then went ahead and left taehyung to join chaeyoung's selfie

'it's not that i didn't push her away, it's just that i know she'll be gone after all one day, just like the others..'
