WARNING; This chapter contains mention of Depression and it's potential side effects!

It had been a few weeks since (y/n) last saw the Turtles.  She had stayed in her apartment, avoiding people.  Even when April and Casey came over to check on her.  She hid in the bathroom until they left.  'Ugh I don't know how long I can keep this up.'  She thought to herself.  'This is not healthy.'  And although she knew this, it is what she continued to do.  April was starting to worry about her friend.  She hasn't been able to face Donnie since Raph had told her and Casey what Donnie had done.  She was so mad at him.  So mad in fact she was afraid what she might say or do.  So she has left well enough alone.

The atmosphere in the lair had been tense ever since the day Leo, Raph and Mikey discovered what Donnie had done.  None had forgiven him, even Master Splinted felt disappointed with Donnie and his actions.  But he respected his son's decision.  He did not agree with it, but ultimately it was his decision, and if Donatello felt this was the best way to keep (y/n) out of harms way Master Splinter must respect that.  They still went on their nightly patrols.  And some times they would pass (y/n)'s apartment.  Donnie and his brothers would always stop and glance over.  In secret they each hoped to catch a glimpse of (y/n), but they never did.  The drapes  and the windows were always closed.  Just as they had been the day they discovered what Donnie had done.  Although on occasion they could see the light from the TV dancing behind the drapes.  'Do you think she's ok Raphie?'  Mikey whispered to his red clad brother.  Raph sighed.  'I hope so lil brother.'  He said sadly.  A small whimper came from Mikey, had Raph not been standing so close to Mikey he may not have heard it.  'I miss her to Mikey.'  He admitted not taking his eyes off her window.  Mikey glances over at Donnie who was a little way ahead, also staring at her window.  'Why'd he do it Raph?'  Mikey asked.  All Raph could do was shrug.  'He thinks he's keepin her safe this way I guess.'  Mikey glanced back over once more before Leo's voice called them.  'C'mon guys, lets keep moving!'  Mikey sighed sadly as he turned to catch up with Leo, making sure to ignore Donnie on the way.

Later that night Raph had snuck out of the lair.  He made his way across the roofs before reaching his destination.  The roof next to (y/n)'s building.  He sat and looked over to her window, wondering how she was doing.  Casey had told him that April had gone round to try and check on her but (y/n) never answered the door to her.  He hoped that if he waited long enough he might see her.  Just for his own peace of mind.  He sighed cursing Donnie.  He knew this wasn't the best way, he had tried making Donnie see reason.  He'd spent hours trying to convince their not so genius brother that this wasn't the way to look out for her.  And it wasn't just for his sake, but for Mikey's as well, the youngest had taken Donnie's decision really hard, and Raph couldn't bare the look in his youngest brothers eyes.  The other day Mikey had found the mug he had bought (y/n) with the slogan 'Worlds best sister' printed across it in the kitchen cupboard.  The heart wrenching cry that came from the orange banded turtle as he pulled the mug into his plastron and ran to his room bawling his eyes out was enough to break even the Shredders heart, if he had one.  Raph sighed.  'C'mon (y/n)  just open the drapes,  Jus once.'  He silently pleaded.  But his plea's went unanswered.  He sat there for hours, watching the window, the light from the TV set dancing against the drapes.  Raph sighed feeling disheartened as he made his way back to the lair.  He'd try again tomorrow night.

It was a couple more days before  (y/n) was finally forced to leave her apartment to go and get some much needed groceries.  She had rationed all she could, making what she called  'if it's' (if it's there eat it).  Until there was nothing left to get creative with.  Sighing she pulled on her faithful oversized hoodie, some jeans and her boots.  As she left the building she pulled the hood as far over her face as it would possibly reach, and quickly she made her way to the store.  She had her list.  It was a one in and out stop.  She walked, keeping her head down.  And when she reached the store, she rushed to grab what she needed, paid, rushed out of there,  and hurried home.  She reached her apartment block and made her way into the lift.  She was almost home, without being spotted.  She exited the lift and made her way down the corridor, almost home, but as she turned the corner her heart sank as she looked up to see non other than April knocking on her door.  (Y/n) froze.  'Dammit!'  She growled to herself.  April turned about to leave when she saw (y/n) standing at the end of the corridor looking at her.  '(Y/n)!'  April sang rushing towards her friend.  (Y/n) did not match her enthusiasm, and April noticed.  'Ugh, errrrr.  Hi...... April.'  She said trying not to let her annoyance  that she's bee caught out show.   As April rushed towards her friend.  'Here, lemme help you with that.'  She said with a soft, kind tone to her voice.
