Rockwell exited the lab, leaving Donnie alone with (y/n). He looked down at her unconscious on his treatment table. 'What did they do to you?' Donnie thought looking at her sadly. He pulled a chair over next to the bed, and just stared at her. So many thoughts going round his head. Leo peeped in through the gap watching his younger genius brother. He then joined his other brothers, Dr. Rockwell and Master Splinter in the kitchen.
Leo's POV
'(Y/n) risked her life for us' I said in not much more than a whisper.' 'Yes. She did indeed, more so than you realise.' Rockwell replied. The three turtles look up at him quizzical. The reason she received such fierce treatment is because she refused to give the location of your lair away to them. The second time they interrogated her, she knew what would happen if she denied them the information they seeked, but she withheld it all the same.' The Turtles all looked at each other in shock, a horrified gasp escaping their lips. 'Oh no' Mikey whimpered.
'They beat her without mercy.' Rockwell continued. 'Which has resulted in a broken rib and an internal bleed. Not to mention the external wounds and bruising, However Donatello and myself have treated her wounds, and she will heal. She is currently hooked up to an IV so we can keep her fluid intake up and administer any meds necessary. There is nothing more we can do right now except keep her comfortable. Donatello knows what he's doing. And I have instructed him to contact me any time if he needs my input.'
'Thank you Dr. Rockwell' Splinter said. 'We are grateful for all your help and your support, as i'm sure Donatello is as well.' 'You are all most welcome Master Splinter.' Dr. Rockwell looked at me and my two brothers as we all sat around the kitchen table all looking down and trying to take in all that the Mutated Monkey had told us. 'You boy's are lucky to have such an ally. She's strong minded, and strong willed.' I look up. 'We do feel very lucky.' Raph and Mikey nodded. 'She's like the big sister I always wanted' Mikey said with a tear threatening to fall. 'Rest assured we will take good care of her' Master Splinter said. Rockwell nodded. 'I have no doubt. Well then I will take my leave for the day, please update me if there is any change in her condition, good or otherwise.' 'We will Dr. And thank you again' Splinter said 'Please allow me to walk you out' And so Master Splinter and Rockwell left me and my brothers to our thoughts.
Eventually Raph looked up. 'who's gonna tell Donnie?' Me and Mikey both looked at him and then at each other. 'You don't need to' A voice came from behind us. 'I heard it all' We turn to see Donnie. 'Oh Donnie, we're sorry...' I began. 'Its ok Leo.' He interrupted. 'I get why Rockwell didn't say anything to me.' I have never seen Donnie like this before. He looks so with drawn and lost. As I look closer I see a tear run down his cheek 'Why did she do it..' the question wasn't so much directed at us but to himself. 'To protect us I guess' I answered. 'But I was supposed to protect HER!!' Donnie said in an annoyed tone, his voice raised, the anger beginning to manifest. 'Hey Don, it wasn't yer fault, none of us could fight off that many bots alone' Raph said. Donnie just glared. 'But it would never had happened had I been paying more attention! And now look at what they did to her just to get to us! She sho...' Donnie paused and sniffed back his tears falling to his knees 'she should have just told them what they wanted to know.' His head fell forward and soft weeps could be heard.
No ones POV
The three turtles looked at their genius brother broken on the floor. They then looked at each other unsure of how to respond. Eventually Raph stood up, and walked over to Donnie. He looked down for a moment before kneeling next to him. He placed one hand on Donnie's elbow and another on his back 'C'mon D, ya need some rest, you an Rockwell have worked hard helpin (y/n)'. He said helping Donnie to his feet. Donnie accepted the hand up, and Raph started walking Donnie to his room. Leo turned to Mikey. 'I'll go and check on (y/n). Do you think you could clear out the spare room we have, we can set (y/n) up in there, she'll be much more comfortable than laying on that medical trolly in the lab.' 'Sure thing Leo, anything for (y/n).' Mikey said with a small smile which was soon replaced with a frown. 'Err, do you think D's gonna be ok?' Leo sighed. 'I'm sure he will be in time Mikey. He cares for (y/n) a lot, and he obviously blames himself for her capture.' 'Heh, care is an understatement dude.' 'You see it to hu?' Leo asked. 'Shell yeah, he's in love bro, he wasn't even like this with April.' Leo looked towards Donnie's room. 'I think you might be right Mikey'
