When the past catches up Donnie x reader

Donnie's POV

I barely slept last night having (y/n) back in my arms sleeping was so good I didn't wanna miss any of it.  Just like the song by Aerosmith, how'd it go?  I lay back holding (y/n) tight as I play the song in my head. 

I think I got maybe an hour or so of sleep.  But it was worth it.  I kept looking down at her in my arms.  Im never loosing her again.  And that was my last thought as I fell into the first rested sleep i've had in days.

The next morning Mikey made an extra special breakfast,  not just to celebrate (y/n) and Donnie but as an apology to his genius brother.  As the happily reunited friends finished their food Master Splinter came from the Dojo into the kitchen and on seeing (y/n) sitting next to Donnie again he smiled to himself.  Just then she looked up to see the Rat master.  '(Y/n), it is nice to see you back with us my child.'  'Hello Master Splinter, it's good to be back.'  She looks at Donnie with a smile.  This sight warms Master Splinters heart.  'As celebration for (y/n)'s return, no training today, but Leonardo, may I have a word with you my son?'  Leo looks up 'Hai Sensei'  He says as he stands and follows Master Splinter into the Dojo.  'Kneel my son.'  Splinter says and Leo obeys his father and kneels.  'So my son, did you discover the reasons Donatello did what he did?'  Leo looks up at his father with a serious look in his eyes, telling the rat master that Leo was indeed angry with the whole situation, but being leader he know's he need's to be seen to have a level head.  'Hai Sensei, we did.'  And with that Leo began to fill in his Sensei in on all that had happened.  

All the while Master Splinter listened, his brow furrowed as he learnt of all that Pete and his cousin had done for their own selfish gains.  Once Leo had finished Master Splinter stood and thought for a moment stroking his beard.  'This was indeed a very underhanded trick to pull.'  Master Splinter said with obvious annoyance in his voice.  'Hai Sensei, I agree.  It caused much heartache and not just between Donnie and (y/n), but in us all.'  Master Splinter nodded in agreement.  'Indeed it has, I sensed this during my meditation mostly from Michelangelo.'  Leo looked down, 'Yeah, Mikey was definitely the most upset out of us three.'  Leo agreed.  'But all is again as it should be my son.  (Y/n) is home, and she now knows the truth.  That is the most important thing.' 'Hai Sensei.'  'Now go my son, and enjoy your morning.'  Leo stands and bows before rejoining his brothers in the main room of the lair.  

Back in the main room of the lair.  The turtle's and (y/n) were all sat around talking.  To the group it felt like it had been years since they last been together like this, when in fact it had only been weeks.  The friends laughed but conversation soon turned back to Pete and what he did or rather what he tried to do.  (Y/n) sighed.  'What hurts more than anything is he was once one of my closest friends'  She says sadly.  Donnie put his arm around her.  And as if on cue (y/n)'s phone beeped to notify her she had a message.  'Ugh, I don't believe him!' The brothers all turned to face (y/n) 'What is it?'  Leo asked.  'Take a look for yourself'  (Y/n) says as she hands Leo the phone.

P;  Hey, hope your ok.  I was wondering if you have thought about what I said to you the other night?

'Wow.'  Leo said as Mikey, Donnie and Raph read the message 'The guy really has no shame does he?'  Leo said.  'Is he kidding!?  Really!?'  Mikey said with an obvious anger to his voice.  Raph and Leo hear Donnie sigh heavily as he walk's over to (y/n) and sits down.  'He never gonna quit is he?'  Donnie says.  '  It doesn't look like it man'  Raph said.  'Ugh!!'  (Y/n) growls loudly.  She was thinking hard about how to deal with this.  Then an idea hit her.  She grabs her phone out of Leo's hands and messages April.
