Dinner date

Maddie spent hours trying to decide what to wear for tonight. She finally settled on a white pleated skirt and a brown crew neck with a collared shirt underneath. She wanted to look nice but not formal. She left her hair down and did her makeup. She knew her brothers and sister would tease her the whole evening since they all knew it was a dinner date with a sleepover after. Rose had been acting weird all day, telling her to be cautious and shit. Maddie had planned the evening perfectly. They were going to have fettuccine alfredo for dinner, then they were going to go read in the garden before it got too dark, afterwards they would watch a movie in her room and fall asleep. It was perfect. Maddie had made sure to make adeal with all of her siblings that they wouldn't fuck it up.

Then Maddie's phone rang. "Hello?"

"Hi. I'm on my way right now, my mom is driving me up here since she didn't want metowalk all the way up the mountain." Will said

"Oh okay. You brought a change of clothes right?"

"Yeah."

"Well I'll see you soon."

"Okay see you soon darling." Maddie giggled at the word. She felt so special when he called her darling. Then she hung up. She rushed downstairs and into the dining room.

"Is dinner almost ready??"

"No, it'll be ready in about an hour." Rose responded. Her and Oliver were dinner duty tonight.

"What? I told you to start working on it awhile ago!"

"Well we had to wash a bunch of dishes because someone forgot to load the dishwasher last night." Oliver answered

"Sorry, just tell me when its ready then we-" Then a knock at the door. "Shit he's here." Maddie ran out of the kitchen to go open the front door. "Hi Will." She said

"Hello. How are you?"

"I'm fine. Uh follow me upstairs." Maddie lead him to her room where he put his bag down on her bed. He sat down on the bed and Maddie sat down next to him. He grabbed her hand and smiled. "So how has your day been?"

"Good, I mean it would've been better if I'd been with you all day." Maddie smiled. He made her feel happy.

"Dinner won't be ready for awhile because Rose and Oliver are taking awhile to prepare it so we have to wait a bit." Maddie put her head on Will's shoulder.

"Thats alright. I'd rather spend time with you right now anyways." He placed his hand on Maddie's thigh and looked at her. She looked up and smiled at him. She sat up and began to kiss him. Will grabbed her waist and set her on his lap. She pulled away and looked at him. His eyes locked on hers. He pulled her back in and kissed her neck. He looked at her and smirked.

"Lets head downstairs." He said

"Oh okay." Maddie got off his lap and adjusted her collar. She stood up and walked out the door and Will followed. They walked down the stairs and into the living room where Luna and Liam were, sitting on the couch watching cartoons.

"Is this your boyyyfriennnddd??" Liam and Luna asked in unison.

"N-"

"Yes." Will interrupted. Maddie turned red and squeezed his hand. Luna giggled then continued watching cartoons with Liam. Maddie and Will walked out.

"I never agreed to being your girlfriend." Maddie scolded

"Well do you want to be? You know, my girlfriend?" Will was towering over her looking at her while still holding her hand.

"Well yes but-"

"Then it's settled." Will smiled at her and kissed her. She blushed and smiled back. Maddie held Will's hand and lead him into the backyard. They sat down on a bench near a fountain. "It's a beautiful day today."

"Yeah, it is." Maddie looked into the sky. It was warm today and there weren't too many clouds in the sky. She looked up at the clouds and felt Will's arm wrap around her shoulder and pull her in tightly. Maddie turned her head and kissed Will on the cheek. Will turned towards her and kissed her lips softly. He kissed her chin then her neck then the collar of her shirt. Maddie moved and leaned onto Will's chest so she could hear his heartbeat. Will kissed the top of Maddie's head.

"Dinner's ready!" Rose called from the backdoor. Will got up and held Maddie's hand. He pulled her off of the bench and began to walk with her towards the door. They got inside and went to the dining room.

"So this is the Will Ive been hearing all about." Maddie's father said

"Nice to meet you sir." Will shook his hand and nodded.

"Take a seat over there." Oliver pointed out two empty seat at the end of the table.

"I hope you like pasta." Rose said while bringing a pot of fettuccine to the table.

"This is wonderful, thank you." Will smiled as he sat down. He was so polite and respectful. Everyone began to dish up food and eat. Maddie stood up to fill her plate but Will stopped her. "Here." Will got her some food and handed it to her. Everyone ate and spoke.
When dinner was finally over Will and Maddie said goodnight and went to Maddie's room.

"What movie do you want to watch?" Maddie asked.

"I don't really care." Will laid down on Maddie's bed.

"What about this one?"

"Okay." Maddie turned on the movie and looked at Will. "I'm going to change into my pajamas, you can too if you want." Maddie walked to her closet which had still full moving boxes in it and grabbed a t-shirt and shorts. She walked into her closet and shut the door. She changed and walked out. Will had changed too. He was wearing some pajama bottoms but no shirt.

"I hope this okay. If it makes you uncomfortable I will put a shirt on." Will said.

"Oh no its okay." Will looked Maddie up and down and smiled.

"You are gorgeous." Will stood up and walked over to Maddie. He grabbed her waist and pulled her close to him. He hugged her and slowly rocked back and forth holding her tightly. She buried her head in his chest and closed her eyes. He kissed the top of her head and hummed. Maddie pulled away and walked over to her bed. She laid down and looked at the ceiling.

"I think I love you." Maddie said.

"I think I do too." Will laid down next to her on the bed and turned to face her. He leaned in and-

"Just came to check on you." Maddie's dad said. "Be smart." Thats all he said before closing the door.

Will sat up and so did Maddie. He looked at her and then pulled her close to him and kissed her. He looked up at her and then he smirked.

"I love you darling." Maddie was flustered.

"I love you too." Maddie laid back onto the bed and propped her up with the pillow. She watched the movie and Will laid next to her. He put his hand under her head and moved closer. It slowly got darker outside and they got more tired.
