New school new Maddie

Hey guys so Ive decided to switch to first person from Maddie's perspective :) Anyways here you go

I woke up to the sound of my alarm going off. "Oh god." I forgot. I start school today. "Fuck off." I pressed snooze and rolled over.

"Get ready for school Maddie!" Dad was standing in my doorway.

"Okay." I groaned. At least Will and his mom were taking me to school today. Its been a week since our sleepover and I cant stop thinking about it. We fell asleep cuddling. It was so cute. But we haven't really been able to see each other since then because we are still unpacking and we are also trying to work on the yard because it's very overgrown.

After sitting in bed for about 10 minutes I finally decide to get up and get ready. Today is my first day of high school and I'm nervous. I put on an outfit i've had planned out for weeks. My favorite pair of jeans with a colored shirt and a beige cardigan. I wear my doc martins since they are the best shoes for this outfit. I brush my hair and decide to leave it be. I do my makeup, grab my backpack then head downstairs. I went into the kitchen and grabbed a piece of bacon off the counter.

"Hey!" Issac shouted.

"What? Its there to be eaten." Isaac growled at me as I walked away. Then I felt a buzz from my pocket. It was Will. Him and his mom were at the house. "Bye Isaac, Will's in the driveway so I'll see you at school."

"K, bye."

I walked out the door and approached their car. I heard it unlock so I opened the door.

"Morning sweetie!" Will's mom absolutely loved me. I hadn't really talked to her in person much but I got her number and have talked to her over the phone before. She is really nice.

"Good morning Mrs. Heathers." I sat down next to will and buckled.

"Are you guys ready for the first day?" She asked

"Yes mother. We are both ready." Will chuckled and looked at me. He reached for my hand and our fingers interlocked. He smiled at me softly and I smiled back. "Did you hear there's going to be a full moon tonight?"

"Oh really?" I haven't been checking my calendar lately.

"Yeah the whole pack is going to go on a run through the mountains." Mrs. Heathers  continued.

"Oh really?" Sometimes I forget I'm not human.

"Yeah. Oh we're here." The school wasn't very far from my house.

"Thank you so much for the ride."

"Yeah thanks mom." Will opened the door and pulled me out. We both waved bye and walked into the school. We still had awhile until school started so we went to our lockers. They were conveniently only a few lockers apart.

"I'm going go check in with the guidance counselor." I had missed freshman orientation and the first week of school since I wasn't registered. Will nodded and I started down the hall. I pretty much only knew were my locker and the front office were. I had come with my dad to register a few days ago. I got to the counselors office and knocked. He swung the door open.

"Hello Maddie. Do you need help with something?"

"Yeah uhm is someone going to show me to my classes or something?"

"Oh yes! I forgot. There is a girl in your class named Evelyn. She isn't at school yet but she is supposed to check in here as soon as she gets here." He looked at his computer then typed something and continued. "Feel free to wait in here until she gets here."

"Oh alright." I sat in a chair in the corner of the room. It was plastic and uncomfortable. There was about 10 minutes until school started. I pulled out my phone and texted Will. 'I'm in the counseling office right now but I will see you at lunch. Love you.' I only had two classes with Will and they were my afternoon classes tomorrow. I put my phone away and sighed. Hopefully this Evelyn girl shows up soon.
