Rayna
I was looking through the menu I heard someone clear their throat I looked up seeing a guy staring down at me I raised an eyebrow.

"Are you Ray?"

"You must be Don."

"I am."

I nodded and he sat down.

"You want to get into business with me?"

"I do I've been trying to get a meeting set up with your pops for the longest but it never fell through."

"That's because my daddy and uncle have been planning their retirement for months now adding anyone to the business wasn't even on their mind."

He nodded.

"Are you sure you can handle a business like this?"

"I'm very sure."

I went back to looking through the menu.

"Have you ever shot a gun before?"

"I have I also read over your files and think that you'll be a great asset to the team so once we're done here we're going to head to the office and get the correct documents signed."

"Okay."

"After that you'll be meeting me in the gun range so you can see for yourself wether or not I know how to shoot a gun."

"I didn't offend you did I?"

"You didn't my files don't show anything that I've done because my father has been handling everything but if you go back and look into his files you'll see my work and what I have done."

Don nodded my phone rung I apologized then I stood up and walked away I picked up the call and it was Khristian with the information about who hit my warehouse. I then told her where to take the person then we hung up. I walked back over to the table and sat down.

"I hope you didn't mind me ordering your drink for you."

"Not at all."

Don nodded I picked up the menu once again and scanned through it finding what I wanted I closed the menu back.

The waiter returned with the drinks and then we placed our order.

"Remember this a business relationship nothing more."

"What makes you think that I want this to be something more," he spoke.

I know you was watching me when I walked away and when I came back.

"Ion mix business with pleasure love."

"Good we have a good understanding."

"That we do."

My phone vibrated I picked up my phone and responded back to Emoree.

The waiter returned and I said a silent prayer and we started eating. After this meeting with Don gotta handle the person who hit one of my warehouses.

After eating the waiter came with the bill and I picked it up.

"What are you doing?"

"About to pay the bill what does it look like."

"I'll handle the bill."

"Nah I got it."

"Ray hand me the bill please."

I handed Don the bill.

"I'll leave a tip."

I went in my purse and pulled out a $50 bill. Don called the waiter over and handed her the bill and I placed the tip in her hand she smiled and walked away. I stood up and grabbed my purse and slid my shades on my face. We walked out of the restaurant.

"I hope you can keep up."

"I can."

I nodded and walked over to my Aston Martin and got in I started up my car and put my seatbelt on. I backed out of the parking space I was in I saw lights flash behind me and it was Don I connected my phone to my Bluetooth and started playing some music I put the gear in drive and sped out of the parking lot.

Donovan
We walked into Ray office she walked behind her desk and sat down and I took the seat in front of her desk. She pulled out some papers and handed them to me I read over the contract carefully making sure there's no loopholes then I signed the papers and handed them back to her.

"Welcome to Cartier Cartel."

"Thanks."

"A few distributors will be by your warehouse to drop off some of our product whatever you make we automatically get 40% off top after that all of your profit will be yours."

"Sounds good."

"Lemme go change and and I'll meet you out in the gun range Nick will escort you out."

The door opened and a dude walked in we introduced ourselves then we walked out of Ray office and down the hall.

"You feeling boss lady?"

"Nah it's strictly business."

"That's what your mouth say but I know better I saw how you looked over at boss lady when I walked in. Mark my words you two will end up together."

"I doubt it."

"Trust me the more time you two spend together the more you two are going to vibe and make a connection."

"Okay."

We walked into the gun range seconds later Ray appeared and she walked passed me and I got a whiff of her perfume. Damn she smells good. Focus Donny I thought.

"You ready?"

"Yeah lemme see what you got."

Ray picked up a 9mm and she loaded it then cocked it back and let out every round she had. Nick brought the paper towards us. I saw nothing but head and chest shots. Damn she's good.

"Just because I don't have any work in my files just yet doesn't mean that I don't know how to handle a gun."

"I see."

"Now if you excuse me I got something I have to handle Nick can you show Don the way out?"

"Yeah."

Ray nodded and walked out of the gun range and we walked out of the range and down the hall. We made it back to the front door Nick congratulated me on joining the team then we dapped and I walked out heading over to my car.

Before I even pulled off I saw Ray and some woman come out of the house and get in an SUV. I shook my head at the thoughts that started to form. Remember Donny this is business nothing personal you can't mix business and pleasure because it'll never work. I pulled out of the driveway heading back to my house my mama will be going on a cruise soon and Addyson will be staying with me until she gets back.

Donovan and Rayna finally met....

Donovan is officially part of Cartier Cartel 🙌🏽🙌🏽.
