Love's POV

Fuck working. Whenever someone asked me what my dream job is, I would say nothing. What sane person wants to work?

My mind was running wild thinking about my new boss, and the fact that Lorenzo is my new neighbor.

He'd see me getting dressed every morning, and undressing every night.

Damn, I need blinds in here.

I never thought about buying any because the place has been vacant since long before I moved in.

The apartment across the street was too expensive for most people to afford without drowning in debt, so everyone left it alone.

Until now.

I called my brother, Soren, then added my eldest brother, Santiago, to the call while I got ready for work today.

"Hey, sis. What's up?" I heard Soren answer.

"Just seeing what you two boneheads are up to. Are you in the studio?"

"Yeah, my band and I are about to record another demo."

"Where are you now?" I heard Santi say while closing a door in his home.

"London."

My brother, Soren, is a musician. He does it all. Guitar, piano, the flute, and he sings. When we were kids, our parents always kept us busy with extracurricular activities.

I was the one drawn to things that had to do with academics, Santi with sports, and Soren with music. I always knew Soren had a passion for it, though. He'd sing to me ever since I was in Mami's belly, and never really stopped actually.

He's made quite the name for himself, and I couldn't be a prouder little sister.

I love both my brothers, but during our childhood, they were assholes.

Due to me being the youngest out of us, they've always had this brotherly instinct to protect me. Whether it be from boys or physical harm.

There was one incident where I liked one of Santi's friends—almost got to third base actually— but they both shut it down and told the entire school not to try anything with me. I knew then I had to keep my crush on their closest friend a secret.

They were pretty intimidating back then. Papa put us all in self defense classes as a just-in-case precaution, so I knew how to protect myself from any threats. But still, my older brothers insisted.

Santiago is a pilot, and he has a daughter, Catalina, named after me. He's been a single dad since his girlfriend passed away.

Lina's mom, Amelia, had stage four cancer, and died shortly after giving birth.

I helped Santi with Catalina the first few months of her life because with the funeral, it was hard on Santiago to raise a child and mourn his dead fiancé.

Children aren't my favorite little creatures in the world, but Lina is a sweetheart. I try my best to shield her from the real world.

I want to preserve her innocence. She's only two, so she still believes in fairies and unicorns.

"Bring me back a souvenir." I said through the phone, remembering how the both of them bring something back for me whenever they travel.

I have an entire box full of things I've collected from the two. They range from paintings, to clothes, to records.

"Of course. And Santi, I'll be back in town this weekend. Let's hit the strip club. I've been needing to relieve some stress."
